on 7/9/2009 all of the remedies work great along with these additional tips that did the trick:
I am a mother of 5 and 5 months pregnant and I am still nursing her, I also have 4 stepchilren. Yes, I am truely blessed! After many trips to doctor and medications that worked temporarily, or not at all, or the horrible yeast infection just kept comimg back!
I did some research and experimented on myself, seeking any relief possible, and finally RELIEF!!!
Pau d'arco Tea: tea bags or pills are readily avaliable in health food stores, drink 2 cups a day, you can even douche with a cup mixed with a few drops of tea-tree oil and praise the lord, its brings instant relief!!!!! =)
Kombucha Tea- though it is a mushroom does not have negative fungal effect, it actually promotes and stabilizes your ph, while killing the nasty yeast, drink one bottle a day on an empty stomach.
Lemon water: squeeze one whol...

on 6/27/2009 Use garlic as a suppository. Peel a garlic clove, wrap it in sterile gauze, lubricate it with vegetable oil and insert it into the vagina. Leave a piece of the gauze sticking out so you can locate it easily. Change the suppository every 12 hours. Garlic has powerful anti-fungal properties.

on 6/6/2009 Will try these remedies thanks

on 5/3/2009 I don't know about the garlic thing...aftet you insert it, then what? Does it just dissolve?

on 2/24/2009 Do you have to do ALL the 8 steps, or can you just concentrate on one or two steps?? (".)

on 2/17/2009 Short and to the point but with enough detail to help out I'd think. I just wanted to comment 5* and that I saw a commercial on TV just a night or two ago that said there's now an over the counter (OTC) yeast "test" one can give themselves so it even eliminates having to go to the doctor to confirm your infection. What will they think of next? I assume that OTC test is out because too many people get yeast infections now because as you said, all the sugar and so forth people eat. You are what you eat! Still holds true in my opinion.

on 1/20/2009 Thanks for the information. Since I have been taking the yogurt and the pills, I am not having any more bouts of yeast infections. I drink a lot of water, stay away from grapefruits because of the acid and stay away from sugars. Great article.

on 1/13/2009 Worst case scenario, take Monistat. It works quickly and works well. If after a week or so you aren't seeing improvements it's definitely worth it to just get something like Monistat. Though I'm all for the natural remedies! :) Great article.

on 12/16/2008 The garlic is an excellent remedy, for this as well as many other ailments.

on 11/4/2008 I have not tried any of these idea yet but I am going to try eating yogurt and taking Acidophilus. I also think the vineger and water is not a bad idea but I am not 2 hot about the whole Doucheing process.

on 9/16/2008 Taking a hot sitz bath with vinegar can help to sooth the area. Eat yogurt daily. Also stay away from antibiotics. This feeds on the yeast. I found some really helpful information at http://squidoo.com/yeastinfectionhelp during my research.

on 8/27/2008 Douching is never a good idea, but especially so when experiencing a vaginal imbalance! Douching can easily push the yeast infection (or whatever it is that causing discomfort) past the cervix and into the uterus. This can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease and in severe cases, infertility.
