Return to article: How to Keep a Bathroom Warm in Winter
on 2/6/2008 Great tips, just be careful of too much moisture in the bathroom leading to mildew on walls and ceiling. Now I'm off to take a hot shower!
on 2/5/2008 Great tips! I like the idea of warm towels!
on 2/5/2008 For the steam part: If you have wallpaper in your bathroom, be careful with doing this. Moisture will eventually peal off your wallpaper and stain it.
on 2/5/2008 Great Tips and what creative thinking!
on 2/5/2008 I actually have a foam insulation panel in my window as well as a ceramic space heater. My tiny bathroom is like a freezer and bath/shower time is miserable. Taking a bath is a horribly bone-chilling experience for my 79 year old mom! My bath is ceramic tiled walls and ceramic tiled floor that was installed 25 years ago. Anyone have suggestions on what more I can do to warm-up this space? Thanks for reading and hopefully responding. Ahimsa
on 2/5/2008 A couple more suggestions: Save for a towel-warming rack I have my washer and dryer in the closet of my upstairs bath. I simply toss a fresh towel and dryer sheet in the dryer for a couple minutes before I shower. Small space heaters, when used safely and properly, can also heat up a bathroom very quickly. The Pelonis brand chemical disc furnace is ideal for bathrooms.
on 2/5/2008 Good practical ideas.
on 2/5/2008 Great ideas and very thorough, thanks. I need to do the plastic film on several of our windows.

on 2/5/2008 Thank you. All that really helps. And it saves a lot of money and energy.
on 2/4/2008 I have done this, and it works. The air used to come in my window so hard, it blew the curtains around...not any more. THANKS!
