on 2/8/2008 It's amazing how many people are interested in learning about their Native ancestry! You may want to point out that some tribes are State but not Federally recognized, and some aren't recognized at all. It's a complicated system.

on 1/30/2008 This is very interesting! It is amazing to think that I, a Jewish-Russian by decent, American by birth could become a member of the Lakotah tribe! This IS a great country!

on 1/23/2008 Unfortunately, my ancestors were "Old Settlers", disqualifying them from any rolls or benefits (of joining a tribe) because they left the area of their birth by choice, rather than force. But, as I've stated before, I am of Native American and Scots heritage. Happy to be where I am, between both worlds! :) Great information, Blackbear!
