on 5/17/2008 First, you are not right. Portable software are those apps which don't use registry nor they register any dll, ocx or any other library in windows and unregister from it.
The point of portables is that you don't have to install anything and it will still work without changing anything in you windows. Windows must same the same before and after the usage of portable app.
This procedure you wrote will only shrink the EXE and DLL files in sizes but it wont make them portable. What if the app uses some dll files from Windows or System32 folders?
If you try to use 'em on freshly installed Windows they won't work!
Try to make portable Nero in this way! It won't work!

on 1/27/2008 I find that hard to believe. All I can say is use this Software/Malicious Program at your own risk.

on 1/26/2008 I work for a Corporation and we use Panda Anti Virus on all of our computers. Norton and Mc Afee didnt protect our computers as well as Panda does. As far as the free anti virus your talking about I couldnt imagine it offering the same or better protection than our corporate version of Panda. Another thing is you cant run Norton and Mc Afee on the same computer you can run one or the other but not the two at the sametime. As I said before this goes out to everybody before posting a program on the internet make sure its not a Malicious Program. Computers cost money so does Anti Viruses so PLEASE POST CLEAN VERSIONS OF PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE TO USE.
