Why not build and install a HHO Kit (Hydrogen). It uses water to make HHO and then you feed it into your engine. HHO assists the gasoline or diesel. It makes the engine run cooler, cleaner, lower emissions, and simply better. You also get better gas mileage as well. There are many sites online that sell these but Ive only seen one that truthfully compares the kit designs so you dont get ripped off. They are http://www.GasConversionKits.com

Hydrogen technology need not be so expensive and running your car on Hydrogen is not the same as using Hydrogen fuel cells.

it's probably more efficient to just convert to an electric car that requires recharging than to make the move to hydrogen which basically takes electricity to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen... transfers the hydrogen to the storage tank on the car, then uses a fuel cell to create electricity from the hydrogen. not terribly efficent, nor cost effective. i don't really expect to see hydrogen vehicles mass produced. it's more like smoke and mirrors while something else is being developed.

I found two places through questar that do the conversion in the Salt Lake area. Semi Service, 1082 S. 300 West, 521-0360 where I got sent to someone’s voice mail, and SNO Motor Solutions, new address is, I think, 1565 S. Redwood, Woods Cross, 281-4766, but their voice message said they’re moving today (to Woods Cross) and today was the day to move the phones so “leave a message, please.” But that’s a good deal closer than anything else I’ve gotten. If you go to www.questargas.com, then to Natural Gas for Vehicles, there’s more info, like on where to buy the gas once you convert your car.

Independent of the actual source of a conversion kit, (and on the assumption that an installer will also have access to the kit) who in the greater Salt Lake City area is a qualified installer? I have a VW Touareg

Where can you buy a NATURAL GAS conversion kit for your car, and where can you get it installed locally? I live in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.

Where can you buy a CNG conversion kit, and where can you get it installed locally? You mention converting a diesel engine, but make no mention about converting a gasoline one; is there a reason why?

on 7/12/2008 It is very misleading to mention hydrogen since is it a whole order of more difficult technology, expense, and lower efficiency.
