Return to article: How to Cook a 16lb Turkey in 2 hrs in a garbage can w/o Oil
on 9/5/2008 Great article!! Five Stars
on 8/29/2008 I appreciate your comments. I love cooking outside because of the challenge and the satisfaction that only comes from food flavored with charcoal or natural wood. Slphilbrick: Redneck? Yes indeed! Bacon in the top of the bird ... can't wait to try it. And now that you mention it, I'm going to try a ham. Lindaperry: Go camping or get together with a friend that lives outside the city. You can do it! Asemili: Hobo Thanksgiving. Great phrase! If any of you are in business and want to read some pretty cool, (and yes, perhaps a little redneck) promotional marketing articles I've written, I welcome you to visit www.CrooksAdvertising.com Warm Regards, Michael
on 8/20/2008 This is major redneck cooking :) I was going to put my version in an article, but yours is close. We don't add spices but do add bacon strips to the top.... of the turkey, not the can (for those with those Darwin tendencies you spoke of) just for some added moisture, and somehow that always gets eaten too ! We've also done trash can ham. Same concept.
on 7/27/2008 Interesting concept and a helpful hint that I will never use. But your title seemed so funny I had to just click on it. And since you have actually cooked a turkey that way ? Well, then, five stars and do not do that in the city! * * * * *
on 6/2/2008 Alright! Hobo Thanksgiving! This should be distributed to homeless shelters across the country.
