on 12/23/2007 Excellent article...we just started doing the elf this year. Funny, my mother purchased elfs for us in the 1960s for each child. Not sure she did the whole story as written in the book but the elfs were part of our tradition until they wore out...when each of us left home. Thanks for keeping memories alive with this suggestion.
