Return to article: How to get "RIPPED"
on 12/2/2007 Hey this is a great article. May I make some basic suggestions as one of the eHow.com medical editors and a jock? First, before anyone starts slugging down protein drinks it is best to check with your health care provider (as you generally suggested) since the "extra" protein you need to add muscle can be hard on the stomach and more importantly should not be used with anyone with known kidney disease. Building muscle takes time and dedicated as you suggested. Getting "ripped" takes discipline and a diet that does not go far off the track. Also, you can have the biggest and best muscles in the world but they need to show through - so if there is a layer of fat hop on the treadmill or jump in the pool! Aerobic exercise will help reduce the fat that hides you muscle.
