on 12/19/2009 There is nothing wrong with having doubts about your faith, but that does not mean to give up. It simply means to pursue your faith even more.

Interesting theory, however your assuming that "a God" is only considering in his judgement what you find to be the most important aspects of your life and character: good deeds, opening doors,giving to charity;all that is nice and all but the general idea of believing in any religion is to follow the core beliefs of that religion and if you dont, I think it would be more unjust for "a God" to grant people who didnt follow the rules the same reward as those who did.

on 2/24/2008 Well said! Good, straight forward article! It's OK to question all the stuff we've been brainwashed with since we were old enough to attend Sunday school or synagogue. Don't just belive something because you've been brainwashed or guilt-tripped into beliving it. As an adult it's natural to question anything, then decide for ourselves if something feels good or not, - to carry that belief, idea or feelng within us. I believe the key is to just TRY to be a good/moral person in any situation we encounter. Just TRY to do the "right thing", - and as an adult you usually know in your inner being what the "right thing" is. If you live a moral life, in the "end",- that "end" that we are all so worried about, we'll end up at the same "resort" as the "religious" person will! The truly "religious" MAY have a penthouse suite at that "resort", but you'll be living at the same "hotel"! The religious M
