on 9/15/2009 I have used Efficientsites.net for years to purchase my domain names and hosting service. They make domain registration easy and also offer the best hosting package deals with lots of extras.

on 7/26/2009 I would also recommend www.LittleMarcoPolo.com. They have great prices and offer everything GoDaddy does for less.

on 5/5/2009 My friend just got a new site for his small and growing business. It seemed easier than I thought it would be, but he went through JanDillaWeb. He said they were a lot less expensive than other web site developers and they got the domain name he wanted, as well as other cool features like shopping cart and customer database to sell his stuff. I think I'm going to try it too. Anyone who is interested check out jandillaweb.com

on 2/12/2009 I used http://yohost.org to get my anonymous domain names. They offer affordable rates. Also I transferred my registered domains to their private registrar.

on 9/16/2008 The article says there's a More Resources section, but I'm not seeing it...

on 8/21/2008 Domain names are no less than trademarks. Book it with a company you can trust. Domain squatting is a nightmare for companies that ignore the value of their website for future business. Source: http://www.solutionpoint.in/india/web-hosting/

on 8/18/2008 It's hard to find good domain names now. However, ShoutDomains.com has some great tools to find available domains. They have cool domain suggestions tools such as a domain word combiner and a domain word cruncher. They also have an instant domain checker. Very nice.

on 6/22/2008 A good tip when deciding on a domain is to know your intended market. If the common TLD extensions (.com, .net, and .org) are taken then perhaps you can focus on a country specific domain extension in the country the larger majority of your customers will reside. –Geoff (www.acedot.com)

on 1/24/2007 webZarus.com will register your domain name for $8.88 per year. They also have a smart search that will give you other variations of the domain name you are looking to register.

on 1/24/2007 For many years the goal was to try and keep your domain name under 8 characters.

With Search Marketing to be considered into the mix, the more relevant your domain name is to your business the better.

If you are going to market your site on other forms of media, then perhaps an alias should be used so the impact of that marketing effort can be measured.
