Return to article: How to EASILY MOISTURIZE YOUR FEET! :)
on 11/17/2007 to chattyLinda07 Take a shallow cake pan, add some olive oil in it or any regular salad oil then dip your feet in it for a little while. Use cheap flannel or terry cloth slipper, slip your feet in them and leave them on for as long as you can maybe sleep with them on. I use olive oil on my hair and face, it get soaked in so quickly and does not smell(extralight version if u do not like the smell of olive oil). This is one option for silky feet..hope it works for you.
on 11/12/2007 ChattyLinda07...I don't know of a long shoehorn for putting on lotion...but an idea just came to mind, maybe use a rubber spatula from the kitchen. You can scoop some lotion on it and reach down and spread it on your feet.
on 11/8/2007 Thanks so much for all the info!

on 11/6/2007 Hi! I work at the hospital on the rehabilitation floor and i have a lot of patients who have this problem,i woudl suggest purchasing some self help aids such as this one below, heres the link a website that offers lots of different little gadgets and as for applying the lotion, maybe you could squirt some out into a little basin and then set it on the floor and just stick your feet in it and rub your feet around, that way you wouldnt have to reach down. I hope that works better for you! Single Ezy™ Sock Helper Assists caregivers in putting on socks, compression or regular stockings. These sturdy helpers are made of steel with smooth plastic coatings. Socks or stockings are simply stretched continuously over the columns and toes are inserted. The continued upward motion pulls the sock all the way on and pulls the stocking or panty-hose up to the knees for final positioning.
on 11/6/2007 What if you have problems reaching your feet because you have no feeling in your hands and being alittle overweight and even reaching my feet is a challenge. Putting on socks, I cannot do without help, and since I live alone, just cant do.. Is there any type of long shoe horn type device that you can reach down to your foot and put the cream on and also help you put on your socks? Or do I have to keep going to get pedicures for $50.00 bucks each time(cant afford that)... HELP ME!
