Return to article: How to Behave on an Airplane
on 6/22/2008 Just a small correction on whether a Flight Attendant can remove you from a flight due to body odour. This may be possible. It all depends on your airline's policy. Other than that, this is a very good article.
on 6/21/2008 Great article, I just go off a 5.5 hour long flight last night and randomly, a few seats ahead of my, one passenger supposedly hit the lady in front of her and the head flight attendant came back and yelled at her to SHUT her mouth and threatened to call police when we land. The womans child started sobbing and crying out "STOP MOMMY! PLEASE STOP FIGHTING!" and it was just a big scene and totally uncomfortable for the rest of the passengers to witness. Plus they almost woke up my sleeping baby!
on 6/21/2008 People may want to moderate their own drinking during the flight. They may think it will reduce their anxiety, but it also removes some of their common sense. The result could be embarrassing and even criminal behavior.
on 6/20/2008 well said ... you may also want to add that its important to respect everyones space even in cramped areas. Our space is often confined to our seating arrangement so we must be mindful of it. And of course manners are a good requirement too. Same with cultural respect ie no insulting muslims when they are just across from you.
