It worked for me. Make sure you're using the "Ellipse Tool" and not the "Elliptical Marquee Tool."Thanks for taking the time to post this tutorial.

You will need to be specific as to why/how it "doesn't work" as I have used this method many times in CS2,3 and now 4. Ensure you are creating an actual SHAPE not simply a circular selection.
