There is a lot for you to learn, so you might want to visit websites, type in transgender or sex change. You might want to go to transgender meetings in your area, you can find phone numbers for self help groups through yahoo, and they will surely direct you.
on 1/21/2008 This a a very well researched article. All the steps are very well laid out but not in any particular order. In order for a doctor to legally prescribe the sex change you have to have a year of therapy with a liscensed sex therapist and a year of hormone therapy. You must first start in therapy. After around 3 months the therapist will send you to a place to begin hormone therapy. All the other steps are their and are highly recommended. Yours truely - gether-done.
