I have already deleted the songs in itunes when I connect my ipod to the computer...but, I don't understand why the songs are still in my ipod?

ya thats smart, delate all your songs and apps and pics and videos and settings all for the purpous of deleting 1 song. not to mention spend countless hours after retrieving everything you didnt want to delete. stay in school and don't do drugs.

how do I upload itune.

besically go onto itunes click libary on the right hand side and then select the tune u want n right click it then a list will aper n u click delete.

ok i had to make a new i-tunes and i dont under stand how to remove my old songs cause they are not on my new i-tunes thing HELPP!!! -

I have had an ipod nano for a few months now. This has to be one of the most frustrating things that Apple could have come up with. Why on earth is there no function to either delete directly from the device while listening, or at least flag for deletion??? I have 8gigs of songs on this thing and there is no way I'm going to remember which songs I hated during the day once I am back home in front of my computer.I thought apple was all about being intuitive and user friendly?

Great info. However, Apple seems to have changed the menus in iTunes. The "Manually manage music" option is now on the Summary page.
