on 6/24/2008 My wife and I are still using this cleaning method. It's great and it's cheap.

Also, the vinegar does a great job on mirrors and windows.

on 10/15/2007 I am so going to try this. Being chemical free with babies around is a great. And killing germs with babies around is a must!!! As to not using this on fabrics and carpet. You need to do a color test. Hydrogen peroxide is great in getting out blood in fabrics and carpets. Vinegar sets colors in fabrics so do a color test first by applying a small amount of the treatment.

on 10/7/2007 I just tried this all over my kitchen... WOW, so great that I'm gonna try it in many more places. I have many animals and this is great for the animal lover that is worried about what they may lick.

on 10/5/2007 Someone mentioned to NOT use this formula on carpets, fabrics. Any OTHER sources that this may not be so great for??

on 10/5/2007 On, by the way, the "smell" from the vinegar will dissipate in a few moments, but, if you really need to have things smelling 'nice' immediately, wait 30 seconds after applying the vinegar, then rinse with clear water. Burn an aromatherapy candle in the room you are using the vinegar in, also.

on 10/5/2007 This disinfectant method is as effective as bleach and is environmentally safe! Pets, children, everyone will not be harmed by this method, as they can be with other chemicals, including bleach. The vinegar smell (which lasts only a few minutes) is a small price to pay for being environmentally conscious! ;)

Thank you for this article!!!

on 10/5/2007 I've been using this mix for years now. Saves me money and is nicer on the environment. To answer pjerwin the vinegar kills odors (e.g. garlic or onion) and the vinegar smell itself goes away in a few minutes. If you want something that smells "pretty" this may not be for you.

on 10/5/2007 What about the vinegar odor? It's not a pleasant or clean scent. Any ideas?

on 10/5/2007 Make sure peroxide does not get on fabrics or carpets I think this discolors them.
