on 7/9/2008 wow, I was looking up methods of pig castration and came across this site, it does its job as a basic guide to castration. What i find funny (or sad) is the comment that "butterflylover" posted about how cruel this act is, i would like "butterflylover" or anyone else for that matter to try to eat a boar (un-castrated pig) and tell me how it tastes, people should do some research before they bash a topic.

on 11/3/2007 I meant of course castrate not castate. It isn't the spelling it's the typing.

on 11/3/2007 I know why you would want to castate a pig. Every pig farmer I know does it. So for anyone really wanting to know, and not just the sob sisters,my added comment is we were always told not to cut the testicles loose that you pull them all the way so as to prevent bleeding. We usually just pour iodine on the wound. They go about their business as if nothing had happened.

on 10/30/2007 Not sure why you would even want to post this. I am sure there must be animal cruelty laws preventing this kind of thing. And by the way, instead of posting sick and stupid how to's, why don't you spend a little time spell checking? (Immediately, scrotum, timers)

on 10/30/2007 Maybe someone should try this on you so you can see how the pig feels afterwards! Why would you want to castrate a pig anyway? I think this technique should be reserved for child molesters...that might cure their sick urges!
