take a grocery list every time, and stick to it.It takes willpower to stick to the list, especially if you like sweets.But sticking to the grocery list saves so much money.Take your time and compare prices.If I rush through my shopping trip, I find that I have spent more money than I planned to.Also, I take only the amount of money I have budgeted for the week with me to the store.Sometimes I end up spending less than the money I have with me, and I have extra money to put towards a bill, or just to save back for a rainy day.I clip and use coupons only for the items I need.Also, Cooking from scratch has cut my grocery bill in half.I buy some items from the big bulk store, but only those items I need for the month.

Great tips. Another alternitive to printing coupons is on Krogers web site. They let you download coupon to your shopping card. I hope other store start to do this soon. But don't go out of your way to buy something just for the coupon. A Coupon is only good if it is an item that you would need.
