Well, this is basic stuff. But more important are things like keyword density, on-page seo, backlinks, varying the anchor text and so on. -

ummm no this will not get you to the top of the search results and is useless info. what about keyword research, keyword hierarchy, density, placement, backlinks, internet marketing strategies...

Having content that is unique and more specific can help your website get to the top. For example, if your website is about cars, try to have information about many cars and unique information about cars. Then when someone searches for "porsche XXXXX" where XXXXX is a unique part or component of porsche, your site will be more likely to show as a top result than some other page who doesn't have XXXXX.
