Return to article: How to Behave at an Amusement Park
on 7/21/2008 Check the map before you light up. Some parks have specific smoking areas. These are there for a reason, as lighting up in a crowded area can not only induce breathing problems, but also has been known to lead of burns to bystanders. Also, park attendants rarely take much of a stance on line jumpers, and will just look at you like you're crazy if you say anything. Also, all line jumpers will come up with some excuse for why they are more important and/or deny they did it. Stand with your legs apart and make yourself look big and people will be less inclined to cut (seriously, this works). Finally, use common sense. Do not instruct children to pee in public. Do not change a baby's diaper in eating areas. Do not use a stroller/wheelchair as a battering ram. Common sense sometimes leaves a person at a theme park, so be sure to keep your's.
