on 9/15/2007 Dogs don't scratch for attention. Punishing a dog for being uncomfortable with sarcoptic mange, allergic dermatitis, etc. is beyond cruel since he's just miserable already. Mange mites are invisible and a vet needs to take a look and often must just treat it presumptively. If it is aggravating you just think how the poor dog feels.
