on 5/8/2007 Good article. You mentioned "we" in the article - is it your family that's learning? If you have kids it would be interesting to read how they mount a horse or how they ride because they're smaller (do they need help, do you have to talk them through it, do they have a different saddle?). I also agree that photos or a film would be really helpful. Hope you're enjoying learning to ride!

on 5/7/2007 I'm a total horse riding beginner and only rode a few times and your instructions are definitely helpful. I think it would be great if you could add photos or maybe even film yourself mounting and dismounting. Might bring the instrucions even more to life.
