Removing and replacing the liner is a chore. While showering, sprinkle a bit of cleanser on a scrub pad. Rub lightly over grimy spots of liner. Poof - easily removed!

Throw plastic/vinyl shower curtains in the washing machine. Use hot water, a bit of detergent, and some bleach. I use the normal cycle. Let the water drip into the machine as you remove it, and hang it back up to dry.

I place the shower curtain in the washing machine with a load of towels. Hang the curtain back in the shower to dry. Comes out clean and it is easy.

My washing machine chewed up a strong vinyl curtain, even on a delicate cycle. Too much twisting is involved, I think. I strongly recommend hand washing.

Place curtain in automatic washer with 4-5 bath towels on gentle cycle and using hot water. At the end of the cycle, place load in dryer. Remove curtain after about 7 minutes and hang. For a mildewed curtain, add 1/2 cup bleach and use only white towels.

Simply put the shower curtain in your regular washing machine with a small scoop of dishwashing detergent and use the warm water. Use about the same amount you use when washing dishes. Will remove all soap scum and come out crystal clean.

For vinyl shower curtains, remove from hooks and wash in the washing machine. Place in dryer on low heat for 3-6 minutes (or as needed). Hang to finish drying if desired.

I used the bathtub method, but in a pinch, I used vinegar as a substitute for bleach, Dawn Powerplus dishwashing liquid instead of laundry detergent and Febreze laundry liquid to help with the scent.

The best way to clean shower curtain is to leave it in the washing machine and add some bleach and powder or liquid cleaner. Guaranteed clean.

Take off rod and put in washing machine on a delicate cycle with laundry detergent and when finished it is clean and ready to rehang on rod.

Just throw the plastic curtain in the washing machine on hot water with a little soap powder and wash away the dirt and grime. Cheaper than buyer another curtain.

Throw your shower curtains in the washer with laundry soap and some bleach. Remember to use fabric softener to get rid of the soap suds during the rinse cycle.

Use a mix of water with 1/4 cup of Clorox in an empty bottle of Windex. Spray the liner of your curtain; leave it for 10 min. Rinse with warm water. Make sure to have good air circulation when using Clorox. More than one open window is recommended.

I clean my plastic shower curtain with orange oil. I just squirt some on the shower curtain & wipe it with a paper towel... it works great on glass shower doors & tile too!
