Your advice was awesome. My husband just woke up with a renching thigh cramp & it was lasting for over 2 minutes.. I googled how to stop charlie horses & I got your page... Thank You! Thank You! This Worked Brilliantly!! When I grabbed the spot under his nose he was like, "what the heck?? leave me alone." I told him to shut up & let me do it.. and he did.. now he is better... lol Thanks again!!!

if you have leg cramps you are lacking magnesium in your diet. You should never massage leg cramps. It causes the muscle to fight back and get worse.

I woke up with one of the worst leg cramps I have ever had and did my usual pushing heel forward, massaging my muscle, curling toes, etc and it just kept getting worse. My wife found your tip on the site and told me and it worked instantly when nothing else was. Thanks so much. I am so grateful.

Thank you for sharing this information with me, it is very interesting, helpful for many here at ehow and the article is well written and easy to follow, thanks so much.

I have done this for years and it does work. I have also discovered that wearing cotton socks and, in colder weather, also wearing cotton leggings, prevents these ghastly leg cramps.

It works very well and I have use it for years. If you are tense at the time you go to bed, first relax by taking 10 to 15 slow deep breathing with your eyes closed, and you can also massage the web between your thumb and index. There is a specific point at the end of the web which is where the opposite thumb reach. Then pinch your upper lip while brathing deeply.

on 3/8/2009 I'll try this next time! My method for calf cramps is to push hard with my heel. This stretches the calf area, which is what it needs.
