on 5/16/2008 Just read your article. I would not recommend people flush medication down the toilet. This leaches into our waterways where our wildlife drink from. I have always taken expired medication to my local pharmacist/pharmaceutical dispenser, who will dispose of it in an orderly fashion. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents worth.
on 3/22/2008 You might want to change Step 2. There is concern about medications released into the water system. Trace elements from a variety of drugs may cause deformities in wildlife like frogs.
