Hobby Lobby has 40% off coupons pretty much every other week and sometimes even a Bridal Spectacular where the entire bridal section is 50% off. We purchased all of our baskets and pillows and even guestbook and pen and didnt pay more than $8 each. They all coordinate together already but we embellished them with small peacock feathers. You can use up to one coupon per day (or just go to a different register :) and basically use as many as you can get away with. We would go to to Hobby Lobby in groups and everyone would bring their coupons and slowly just accumulated everything we needed. Hobby Lobby saved us so much money and they have great products and really allow you to personalize everything. It made our large wedding affordable.

My friend had almost a $0 budget, so we decided to go Western. The girls are wearing white shirts (that I am adding fringe to) with black jeans and boots and black hats. They will carry a mason jar with bird seed to steady a small candle inside. I've added raffia and fall colored flowers to the outside of the jar. Since the wedding is at 6 PM, the candle light will give a beautiful glow to the affair. They men are similarly dressed. We scoured Goodwills and Salvation Army stores for baskets. We found Target donates to Goodwill and we purchased a guest book for $.99, a ring bearer's pillow for $1.99, and flower candle rings for the tables at $.49 each! She even found her dress at Goodwill!

To ensure that you will have the ceremony that you have always dreamed of, you will want to plan carefully. You will want to decide exactly what type of ceremony you want. You may want the ceremony to be laced with tradition; to be filled with the personal touches that show the qualities and individualities of the two of you. Your selection of a ceremony site will be influenced by the formality of your wedding, the season of the year, the number of guests expected and your religious affiliation. The ceremony location is the place where you make those lifelong promises and commitments. The memories forever etched of that one spot, wearing the most beautiful dress, with your friends and family fondly observing. Begin your search for a ceremony site as soon as you have selected the date for your wedding. The following are just a few options on the types of ceremony locations: Church, cathedral, chapel, temple, synagogue, a private home, garden, courthouse, hotel, country club, hall, park, museum, yacht, winery, a field, the beach, casino, hot air balloon, art gallery, bed and breakfast, college/university chapel, anywhere! The ceremony site usually charges a fee to rent the facility. In a place of worship, this fee may include the use of the sanctuary, wedding coordinator, organist, custodian, changing room for the bridal party, and miscellaneous items such as kneeling cushions, aisle runner, unity candle, sound system and candelabra. There may be restrictions on placement of floral arrangements, secular or sacred music selections as well as time of ceremony. Make sure you ask about restrictions or guidelines regarding photography, videography, decorations, candles, rice, bird-seed or rose petal-tossing. Be sure to ask for specific rules and regulations and what the site fee includes prior to booking a facility. While having a ceremony outdoors is a wonderful way for you to showcase your event, there are some special considerations that are important to plan for. First, make sure your officiant is willing to perform the ceremony at your chosen location--some members of the clergy will only perform wedding ceremonies within a house of worship. Be sure to find out whether there are any user restrictions, permits, or conflicting activities and events with your chosen date and time. Other logistics to consider include whether or not there is ample accessibility, electricity, parking, as well as restrooms on site. Remember to select a quiet spot that is away from the traffic. Nearly everything must be brought in such as chairs for your guests and a sound system. You are encouraged to have an alternate ceremony site in case of inclement weather. In a museum or gallery, your wedding will be surrounded by beautiful objects. You can choose sites that display works that match your personal preferences, whether you enjoy the modern, classical, naturalistic or abstract. A wedding at home gives you the opportunity to recite your vows in a place that is near and dear to your heart. Though it will require that you have enough room to accommodate your guest list, a home wedding will definitely have a personal touch that no other location offers. A ceremony in the home is indeed entertaining on a grand scale and the preparation may be more than you anticipate. Organization and delegation of responsibilities are essential. You can probably rent everything you need through a rental agency. When renting a ceremony location, make sure the contract specifies all aspects of renting or using the location: arrival times, departure times, equipment that can be used, clean-up responsibilities, parking facility use, etc. Remember the marriage license ! Don’t forget to bring the marriage-license packet to the wedding! Assign this task to a trusted friend or family member. A ceremony is not legal and complete without this.

Go to different bargain stores. Don't buy spur of the moment, compare prices. We are also having an outdoor wedding with white and pink. I bought some floating candles already in vases pre decorated with white and pink flowers and ribbon at Value City for only $2.99 each. Those will be our center pieces. We bought a white arch at Big Lots for only $6.99, and we will decorate it with tulle and these beautiful strands of pink silky rose petals and iridescent beads that I got at Gabriel Brothers for $0.80 cents for 6 foot each. We will also use tulle and pink flowers from the dollar store (a bundle of 12 for $1.00) to decorate the chairs in place of chair covers. We are using tulle with Christmas lights to hung on the ceiling inside the tent, it gives a beautiful glow because the entire line of tulle glows. I found some beautiful pink torch candles that retailed for $20 each on clearance at Gabriel Brothers for $2.00 each, so those will go around our dance floor area outside. These are just some ideas, if you look around at different stores, you will be surprised at what you can find.

If you want something glamorous and unique, I highly recommend you look into a destination wedding. I'm having mine on the same beach we got engaged on. The entire cost of the wedding is $1350 for a photographer, all the negatives, 25 printed pictures, the videographer and a edited DVD keepsake, free moonlight massages for my future husband and I, all the flowers, decorations, the chair covers, minister, and a full reception on a terrace overlooking the beach which includes a live band at no additional cost. Since the resort is a 5 1/2 star luxury, all inclusive, we don't have any cost for food or drinks. Plus I have my own wedding coordinator. I also get all my hair and makeup done for free at their well known spa and boutique. I know the concern is who will actually pay to go, but we have had the exact opposite response, we have more people going than if we had had the wedding where we are both from. People told us they would rather get a vacation than go to another boring traditional wedding that is the same as the last one they went to. Our wedding has been the talk of all families and friends, and it won't soon be forgotten.

Hobby Lobby always has items on sale. They publish ads in the newspaper and online. Every once in awhile, they publish a 40% off coupon for any amount of one item in the store. If you are having a large wedding, like I am, everything is expensive, including paper. If you look far enough in advance and continue to look, you will find more than one of these coupons. I also had a few people looking for me as well. So far, I have been able to use four coupons on separate occasions. Every week there are new items on sale and they circulate about once a month. The key is to keep your eyes open. It has almost all you wedding needs.

If you're a little informal, a fun thing to add to a program is a comic strip showing how you met. Even if you are the worst artist and draw stick figures, people will still think it's cute. It will make a great keepsake, as well as telling all your guests how your lives together began.

When my daughter and her husband got married, we did anything and everything we could ourselves. Talk about great bonding time - and it was fun. If you start stressing, take a break from that item on your list. The estimate by a bridal magazine publisher on my daughter's wedding was $20,000. Only a little under $6,000 was spent and their wedding got a featured wedding article in the magazine. Talk about a keepsake! One of the best things of all was my son-in-law's involvement and the time her Dad and I got to spend with him and our daughter! eBay is great - so is "The Knot" (excellent printable wedding planner) - at least look at any clearance items you find. You'll be surprised how things can be changed or dressed up! Also, pew bows are expensive - try making them yourself. It's really easy and you get exactly what you want. Happy wedding planning!

I have a wedding budget of $3500! But through the help of my mother, friends, eBay, and my computer, I am having a beautiful semi-formal wedding. I have purchased many items from eBay for literally pennies on the dollar; a bustier for $25 including shipping! Guest book, pen and garter set from Davids bridal, retail $65 dollars, I bought for $15! My mother rounded up help from the church and a formal tea reception will only cost $225! That includes a chocolate fountain! The church members are doing the wedding cake at cost. Vocalist; price of music. Photography; my new uncle is doing it for free. Videography: uncle for the price of a camcorder. 100 wedding invitations, $25 plus printer ink cost (they are more beautiful than what I could afford at professional printers). A word of advise - do only the projects you can do, and definitely do the ones you have a specific idea for, otherwise you'll end up stressed because things didn't turn out the way you wanted.

I have saved literally thousands of dollars shopping for everything from dresses, to jewelry, to wedding programs, and party favors on Ebay. If you pay by Paypal your purchases are covered. I am getting three times the wedding for my buck.

Considering all the work and money going into the production (wedding) and knowing what I know now, I would seriously consider giving my darling daughter a check and her fiance a ladder!!! All kidding aside, this wedding will be an event to remember. Signed: Somewhere in the Great White North.

Even though you may think you want to, don't dive in and take on too many projects for yourself. There is always an eager beaver wanting to help, so let them. You will find yourself stressing constantly over things you shouldn't have been messing with in the first place!

Add a quote or poem that reflects the feelings you have for one another to your programs.

I, too, have saved thousands through eBay and got my inspiration for my wedding (coming up) from my favorite colors (midnight blue and silver)! I did a Google search and located one other venue that did my exact theme and borrowed their ideas and used them to locate the exact same items for a fraction of the cost through eBay! If you are of another nationality, use those to your benefit! Such dramatic effects! I am Persian and Assyrian, my fiancé is French and Polish, so we have combined those and have a huge feast line up, not to mention belly dancers and themed programs (my programs will designed with Persian carpets in mind)! Negotiate, negotiate! By simply letting a limousine company know I thought their bid was too high to transport out of town guests to and from their hotels, the ceremony and reception, he lowered it by $550! Live your fantasies! Don't be afraid to ask! My belly dancers (who have done the most famous actors and actresses weddings) are quite inexpensive ($800 for 6 dances). All I had to do was ask and inform them of the finances already expended and what I can and cannot spare! Also, if you are planning on paying for your bridesmaids' dresses and jewelry, go online. Try online jewelry shops, and ask the company executives for wholesale or group discounts! They want your business, trust me!
