Instead of sleeping on your regular pillow case, buy a silk pillow case or sleep on silk pajamas (with wet or dry curls). It doesn't make your hair all matted and frizzy, your curls stay nice and smooth for the morning. :)

I have really thin, incredibly curly hair. I wash my hair everyday with Bath and Body Works Natural Moisturizing Shampoo, then turn off the water in the shower and apply a boat-load of Suave Deep Conditioner. The Suave stuff comes in small bottles, but is only $1.47 a bottle at WalMart. After putting in the conditioner, I brush my hair with a wide-toothed comb. Do not rinse the conditioner out before combing! The conditioner provides lubrication so the comb doesn't cause as many split ends. Also, don't forget to get trims 4 times a year to keep dead ends away.

All the advice about not shampooing your hair too often works, but do condition it often. What helps give me the healthiest hair is using Joico's K-Pak line, especially the damaged hair treatment in the wintertime, and the daily conditioner in the summertime (or some alternating and mixing, depending on the climate). Believe it or not, I never rinse the conditioner out of my hair, not even the deep treatment! This helps a lot to control volume and keep hair soft and from getting too dried out. When air drying, whether sleeping on it or in the daytime, I put a bandanna on to keep the top of my head from going all to frizz (the worst), and this lets the rest of the curls and waves dry naturally. I know Joico is expensive, but somehow I only have to buy the 3-pk (shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner) once per year. It seems to last me forever. Also, in addition to leaving the conditioner in, I spray a leave in conditioner in to help keep it under control while drying. I don't usually have time to style my hair, so I don't know about too many products that can help even more in that regard, but I do focus on keeping my hair healthy.

I'm Arab, and have curly, frizzy hair. I used to use mousse, gel, and hair spray all at once. I weighed my hair down and it looked like it had no life to it. I went to a hairdresser who layered my hair. I reminded him that if he cut once inch off when wet, it would look 4 inches shorter. I now use hair oil, which you can pick up at most stores containing Arab products. The oil I'm using is actually a product of India. It tames my hair without giving it that lifeless wet look. It costs around $4-$7. It also works well with African American hair. Because I do wash my hair every day (let's face it, curly haired bed head sucks) this oil replaces the natural oils needed to tame frizz.

My hair is a total disaster! Its frizzy, thick and wavy. I always wore it up in a pony tail because it looked horrible down, but later someone told me that it makes your hair frizzy if you use rubber bands, so now I put clips in my hair. Try using Salon Selective mousse and hair spray. My hair isn't even frizzy any more. Also drink tons of water, 8 glasses a day.

When I was young, I had stick-straight, soft hair that I loved. Now it seems that I woke up one morning, and all of a sudden it's curly! My mom took me to her hairdresser, and he recommended the curl cream that I now use whenever I wash my hair. It's Kerastase, it comes in an orange bottle, and is called 'Elasto-Curl'. After you wash your hair, towel it dry, brush it, and then rub the cream over your hands and apply it to your hair. Make sure you use it more in the ends as oppose to the roots, or your hair will look oily. Then scrunch your hair a little bit, and let it dry naturally. When it's totally dry, use some sort of product to fight frizz such as John Frieda 'Frizz-Ease'. And voilĂ , curls that stay in without any frizz!

I have thick, frizzy, naturally curly hair. The only thing that works for me is Pantene Curl Defining moose. If the store is out of this, I will get another moose that does not say Alcohol-free. I find if it is Alcohol-free, then it leaves my hair to light weight and allows more frizz. Also, it should never say volumizing!

Individually curling sections of curly or frizzy hair with gel makes it easier to care for everyday, and stays the same when the gel is all washed out.

When shampooing your hair (with a good moisturizing shampoo), really massage it into your scalp. Then mix 1 egg, 1 part mayonnaise and 1 part olive oil into a paste and apply to hair. Wrap up hair in a warm damp towel and leave for 10-15 minutes, not too long or hair will be greasy. Wash your hair again, and condition with a deep moisturizing conditioner. Rinse with cold water (as cold as you can stand) and avoid towel drying your hair or brushing it when it's wet. Apply a small amount of serum and blow dry using cold air.

I just came across this fabulous tip by testing different products. Put baby oil in a spray bottle and spray it all over your hair. It makes the curls really curly and it doesn't look greasy (as long as you don't put too much in there).

You've probably heard the tip about braiding your hair at night in one or two braids. Well, if your curls are frizzy, put some gel in your hair before you braid it. The next day, your hair looks great and it stays like that due to the gel. I used all kinds of different gels with this technique and it doesn't make my hair stiff. I wore this look to my brother's graduation and it really worked out.

Honestly, all these products don't work! They all have these chemicals that damage your hair! I'm African and I know what it feels like to have a dilemma with you hair! I try to avoid washing my hair when it's flat ironed because I want the straightness to last as long as possible! Pantene works pretty good, but my hair still becomes puffy! Herbal essence just smells great, but it doesn't work at all! John Frieda and Marc Anthony products are just expensive, they don't work on my dry, rebellious, frizzy, thick, curly hair! The only thing that makes me have hot hair is mayonnaise, which tames my hair and makes it soft and manageable. Also, coconut oil is amazing! Another thing that I find amazing is Neutrogena triple moisture!

I get out of the shower, towel dry and brush my hair. I then shake my hair out and run my fingers through it and let it sit for a little while. As long as I do it before it's dry, I'm OK. I have very thick hair, so I do it in layers. I get an even amount of mousse in it. Starting with the first layer, I put a little bit of Tresemme Curl Care in my palms, and comb my hands through my hair. I do this in each layer, and when I'm done I flip my head, run a little bit more through my whole head, do a quick spray with Fructis Style Cur Shaping Spray Gel, and I'm out the door. It leaves my hair unsticky, no flakes, and naturally curly! I love it.

I just started using the tip that suggests not to wash your hair every day, and it actually works! Especially with all the humidity there has been lately. My hair doesn't look greasy, just bouncy curls all over! I use KMS Curl Up products, you just have to know how much. If you put too much in it gets to be a little too greasy. I've tested probably every type of curling product out there and this one is the best, even if it's $15, it's worth it. Spray a little bounce back spray throughout the day and they keep looking like new.

Lately I have been working on getting my hair really conditioned and healthy by deep conditioning it once a week. I only shampoo every couple days but condition every day with Suave Humectants Conditioner or Aussie Three Minute Miracle. I then towel dry my hair and apply Headdress Volumizing Leave-In Conditioner. Next, I pull my hair into a quick bun and Voila! I sleep on it and the next morning I have the best curls ever!
