unless your are willing to blow dry your hair straight every day, it's best to have your hair cut straight across the bottom rather than layers. Layers are meant to add volume to flat limp hair, and you dont want volume, believe me. Curly hair is great by itself you dont need a fancy haircut to make it look great. Be sure to only brush your hair when it is wet! Brushing it when its fry will make it loose all the curls and you will end up with frizz. Good luck

Wash and leave hair to dry a bit. Add some leave in conditioner and/or styling balm. Then pile it at the top of your head so that when you sleep it isn't going to leave an uncomfortable bump. Use a loosly wrapped scrunchy to gather all of you hair. Tuck hair in or leaved it out for different looks. The tucked look with leave waves and the left out look will give you curly.

let it naturally dry... or in the winter stand next to the firplace.. that'll dry faster without the fros n' splitends. then when it's semi dry.. a little damp.. put some aloe vera gel (for mosquito bites) on the ends and then slowly work your way up to your scalp. presto, n your done and it doesn't feel greasy or overdone. just nice!

This is the best method i have come across to achieve the nicest air-dried curls! If you have the time before you go out, shower and then lay down on a bed or couch, don't lay on yor hair, move it above your head. Then read a book, or nap while your hair dries. The lack of movement allows the curls to stay together as they dry and also gives boost to the roots as the hair dries, to avoid "triangle head"

brushing or combing dry hair only adds to frizz problems. instead, comb your hair with your fingers while it's still wet to untangle strands. or even better, do it while you're in the shower.
