Return to article: How to Remove Super Glue
on 7/24/2008 Yo !
on 8/6/2007 It works!! Super Glue gone from fingers after applying cold cream, Vaseline, soap, warm water and scrubbing with a plastic scrubber. Thanks.
on 1/18/2007 Use pure acetone, no nail polish. I was fixing my glasses and got it all over the lens. Nail polish remover had no real effect, but I found a can of acetone and it took care if it in less than 30 seconds. Took another 2 minutes to get everything completely off.
on 8/17/2006 Hand cream, warm water, and a green scrubber works the best!
on 8/11/2006 I used Superglue to fix a gift for my mother. I opened the glue and it went everywhere. I used nail polish remover - didn't work. I used the Vaseline and water trick - it worked, kinda. I was chopping potatoes, and when I washed my hands, the glue was gone. So, apply lots of potato juice, found when chopping, and wash after 10 minutes (approx). It really works.
on 8/6/2007 I got some super glue on my new cell phone, and I freaked out, broke a window in my house, and other stuff. I had some duct tape, and I realized how sticky it was so I rubbed the phone with the sticky side, and it's all good now.
on 12/20/2005 Soak your hands in warm water and soap, dab them dry, then take a nail file and file off the super glue.
on 6/11/2007 I tried the cream, soap and scrubber idea I read about, I was shocked it worked so well. I had always heard about the nail polish remover, and sanding it off with a finger nail file, but that's so hard on my skin, the cream suggestion was great. Granted it does take a washing or two, but my hands don't hurts afterward. I used a heavy cream, not a lotion, that's the only difference I would suggest.
on 12/12/2005 I use Vaseline to get it off. I put Vaseline on a Q-tip and gently rubbed it on the glue. Then, I washed it off. I did this a couple times and it came off!
on 11/22/2005 I got super glue on my finger, I rubbed body lotion on the area, rinsed it under warm water, and used the green scrub on the other side of a sponge. It worked like a charm!!
on 11/22/2005 Thank you for telling us to use Goof-Off, it actually worked!
on 11/22/2005 Use finger nail polish remover. Dip a Q-tip into the nail polish remover, apply it to area where the skin is glued.
on 11/22/2005 Rub on hand cream, then wash the spot with warm water. It may take a few washings before the glue comes off.
