on 12/9/2005 Wash your face with Cetaphil facial cleanser. Pat dry. Then pat on a huge blob of Neutrogena "On The Spot Acne" treatment (white benzyl peroxide) and keep patting until it's absorbed on the breakout spot. Don't rub or pull on the skin. Wait a few minutes then apply a moisturizer. This routine works wonders and will drastically shrink a blemish overnight. Keep following this routine, and after a while your skin will be zapped of all of the bacteria that causes the breakouts. Moisturizing is key, because it counteracts the dryness that the Benzyl peroxide often creates. Look for a moisturizer with aloe in it for best results. Moisturizer seems scary to people with acne prone skin, but it actually is key to help clear up skin.

on 11/22/2005 Here are some tips that will hopefully help you

*Drink A LOT A LOT of water ((water flushes out the bad stuff in your skin before it comes out the bad way: through your skin; which creates a pimple. This is the number one thing to do to treat pimples.

*Clean your face twice a day; when you get up in the morning and before you go to bed. Cleaning more then that makes your skin produce more oil.

*Moisturize your face after you clean your face in the morning and evening. The worst breakouts happen on dry skin.

*Don't use a lot of chemicals on your face. That just drys up your skin and makes your face look worse. Its better to find ONE thing that works and stick with it.

*Change your pillow case. That helps a lot.

*Don't TOUCH your face!!! Your just putting more bacteria on your face and making it worse. Picking also makes acne worse. It just increases healing time, and you might scar.

*Wash your hair everyday. Also if you have long hair, keep it of your face. Hair oil is a big factor in acne.

Hope all of these tips help you out!!

on 11/22/2005 Follow these steps and your face will be fine!
1. Drink tons of water (8-10 glasses a day).
2. Eat Healthy.
3. Consume lots of food with Zinc, protein, iron and vitamin E, C, and B.
4. Do NOT touch your face!
5. NEVER pop a zit, it makes it worse!
6. Never put TONS of ointment on a popped zit, it won't heal as fast. If you're going to put anything on it, buy Vitamin E oil 20,000 IU for about $11 at a drug store and use that consistently.
7. Wash your face every morning and before bed, and after sweaty activites.
8. Use a mild cleanser when you wash your face as well, acne medicated should help you out with ingredients such as saliycic acid or benzoyle peroxide.
9. Give a product time if you are using it and don't over use the product. It'll dry out your skin and probably irritate it more.
10. Work out or do things to relieve stress.
11. If you want it to go away fast or more easily, take Birth Control pills or try a treatment like ProActive. That really works!
Follow this and you'll be acne free, I guarentee it!

on 11/22/2005 There truly is no miracle cure. Except for medications, the only things you can do are, take good care of your skin (wash it night and day), do not pick at blemishes, and try to live a healthy (good food and exercise) and strees free lifestyle.

on 11/22/2005 if your have a really nasty whitehead grab fingernail clippers line it up over the white pussed filled part ONLY, precision it key. slowly pinch it down, you shouldn't feel anything if you do it right. Get rid of the puss completely and put moisturizer on it, makes it look way better.

on 11/22/2005 Applicator sponges for liquid foundation makeup are meant to be disposable, like cotton balls. Throw them away after each use because they hold bacteria.

on 11/22/2005 An M.D. on here suggested that you can get Cleocin from your regular physician instead of a dermatologist. Topical Cleocin has worked very well for me, but make sure the pharmacist fills your prescription with the name brand because my dermatologist says the generic is abrasive to your skin. If you have a lot of trouble with acne, you may also need an oral antibiotic, and you'll probably have to periodically switch from one antibiotic to another. A dermatologist will probably be more knowledgeable than a regular physician about which antibiotics to try for acne. Also, if you go to a dermatologist, you can get lamp treatments every three months or so. They use a special kind of lamp. It is not the same thing as a tanning bed lamp. The lamp treatments seem to work well for me. Going to a dermatologist to treat your acne is well worth it, but you will have to spend about $50-60 per appointment if you don't have insurance that will cover it, and you may have to go as often as once every three months. It has helped me immensely. Clearer skin is priceless because of what it does for your self-esteem.

on 11/22/2005 Use the high setting on a hair dryer to warm up a corner of your towel - about 10 to 15 seconds. Cover the pimple with the warmed towel. The pimple might actually hurt a little bit with the heat, but the rest of the area just feels really warm. Repeat a few times heating the corner up when it cools. This shrinks the pimple and makes it go away much sooner.

on 11/22/2005 Don't touch your face. Your fingers may be dirty, and it carries the bacteria around and makes your pimples even worse. Just cleanse morning and night, and use something to get rid of the pimples. But make sure to moisturize!

on 11/22/2005 One reason you may have pimples is simply that you eat too much junk food. Try eating a lot of vegetables and healthy foods.

on 11/22/2005 Tea tree oil (available at health food stores in a small dark bottle) is the best! You just dab a drop directly onto the pimple. It may sting a bit. Don't let the oil part scare you, it has astringent properties. I use it every couple of hours and the skin clears quicker than anything else I've tried. It even relieves the pain of pimples. Don't forget to keep your skin clean, and the tip about getting rid of junk sodas is great.
