If you have a really big huge pimple (mainly the harder, painful ones), put Neosporin on it at night. If the Neosporin soaks in before you go to bed, apply another coat of it. Continue to consistently do this on large pimples and you are sure to see results. -

If you have pimple scarring and you just can't seem to get rid of that unwanted redness and discoloration, rub aloe vera gel on the affected areas for about a week. The results are amazing! You can purchase aloe vera gel at any general supermarket or pharmacy. -

I have had acne for over 3 years. It has never completely gone away, but I found 2 products that absolutely work for oily skin: Loreal Pure Zone. It can be found in any major supermarket. And Proactive, although pimples have no absolute cure, these two products make them almost invisible. Note: Don't use both products at the same time. -

When you have a huge pimple or a massive spot of pimples, steam your face by taking a hot shower or using a hot wash cloth. After you do that use Clean & Clear Maximum strength Invisible Blemish Treatment. It works fantastic! Just put a little dab on and let it dry and leave it there without touching it. The least it will do is flatten out or reduce the size of your pimple. -

I use Clinique extra-mild facial soap for regular cleaning (once a day) and Clinique spot solution whenever I feel one that may be developing. I put the spot solution on, and nothing ever shows up. They both work very well. Clinique is expensive, but well worth it. -

All these outbursts of spots on the skin are 9 times out of 10 caused by bacteria on your hands when touching your face. Wash your hands often and no bacteria spreads onto your face causing blemishes. -

First, make sure you change your pillowcase and your sheets at least once a week. All the oil and dirt from your face remain there, which is terrible for your skin. Take B vitamins. They really help cleansing your skin because they do it from the inside, they purify your blood according to doctors. Never pop a pimple if it is just red and itchy with no whitehead! It will hurt a lot and you won't remove anything from it. Use toothpaste as an emergency product. Do not scrub your face if you have infected spots, that would spread the bacteria! Instead, try to use Clinique Clarifying lotion once or twice a day after washing your face with a mild pH-balanced gel. Eritromicine has given me very good results. But I prefer using it at night because it sometimes affected the look of my foundation. Do not wash your face too often. Twice a day is enough. -

I've tried all sorts of creams that my doctor has prescribed. They didn't work. I wash my face in the morning and drink water all day long. It doesn't help. What does work for me is about 30 minutes of sun. What's great about the sun is that it's out at least a couple hours every day and that's all it takes to clean up acne on my face and back. -

Accutane was the only thing that worked for me. I had horrible acne all through my teenage years, and was prescribed everything. Finally, I went to a new dermatologist who prescribed Accutane, and after about 6 months of taking the pills, I noticed that I hardly ever broke out anymore. To this day, I rarely break out with more than a very tiny pimple once in a blue moon. -

That is the worst idea I've heard. It's bad for skin, non-hygienic and likely to leave a scar. Never try this method to extract a pimple. -

Wash your face with Cetaphil facial cleanser. Pat dry. Then pat on a huge blob of Neutrogena "On The Spot Acne" treatment (white benzyl peroxide) and keep patting until it's absorbed on the breakout spot. Don't rub or pull on the skin. Wait a few minutes then apply a moisturizer. This routine works wonders and will drastically shrink a blemish overnight. Keep following this routine, and after a while your skin will be zapped of all of the bacteria that causes the breakouts. Moisturizing is key, because it counteracts the dryness that the Benzyl peroxide often creates. Look for a moisturizer with aloe in it for best results. Moisturizer seems scary to people with acne prone skin, but it actually is key to help clear up skin. -

Recently I discovered that drinking tons of water is good for your entire body. Also, use mild soap when washing your face, any kind will do. Don't think about your acne and try to avoid mirrors; this can cause you more stress which leads to more pimples. Try to take a break from washing your face every once and a while to give your face time to calm down if it is irritated. Don't pick at your zits! -

I know it may not be the best thing for your body, but I was on Orthotricycline for years and my skin was usually clear. I just went off of it and although I lost some weight, and started breaking out. The pill really does keep your skin clearer. Also, a natural soap called Clearly Natural is good and gentle. -

Take regular old-fashioned Listerine (the nasty flavor) and pour some on a clean towel. Gently scrub for a minute or two. Then, put on a dab of toothpaste and leave it on for 20 minutes before wiping it off. Do this for about a week. It works! -

I know that for some of you, going to the dermatologist was a bad idea. My parents, too, never liked the idea of me taking antibiotics and using chemicals. But people were beginning to bug my parents to treat my acne and I was also getting annoyed with it so they finally took me. About 6 months later, it's SUCH an improvement. He started me on pills twice a day and that "benzoyl" stuff every night. Then he took me off the pills and I only use the cream at night and an applicator (like the bingo ones) in the morning. If only it wasn't for summer breakouts...! -

Any tea tree oil product works great to fight nasty blemishes! It's basically the only thing that removes and keeps away blemishes. The Body Shop has fantastic tea tree oil products, which I've tried myself. Different varities like foaming face washes or blemish sticks are foolproof methods of getting rid of nasty breakouts for good! If you don't believe me then try for yourself! I'll bet it'll be the best face cleanser that you've ever bought. Remember though that tea tree oil is a very harsh substance so if you have delicate skin that dries out then be sure to start with a product that has the lowest tea tree oil rate. If you don't know what that is it's always a good idea to ask a professional, or the salesclerk even! Hope this helps! -

Wash your face with lukewarm or cold water. This simple thing has worked wonders! Hot water opens your pores and allows in dirt and oil, which lead to breakouts. -

Go to a dermatologist. Period. She/he will determine what is best for you. For instance, whiteheads (the bumps under your skin) won't budge with over the counter drugs. You can try, but you need a prescription to get those out. Then, you'll treat the skin with Benazaiacin and your face will look beautiful. 2 years ago, my daughter was breaking out badly. Now, people always ask how she gets such a glowing a beautiful complexion? Is it her make-up? She wears none. -

Go to your local gym (or your basement if you're lucky), and get in the sauna. Stay in there for an hour, just make sure that the sweat is actually dripping off your nose when you look down. Take a shower and throughly wash your face immediately. If you skip this step I don't think you're helping anything. While you're there, consider popping it to speed things along even more. Sleep for the night. By the next day it should be considerably smaller. The day after it should be gone.
