If you feel a pimple coming on, put a piece of ice in a sandwich bag and press the ice firmly on the pimple until you feel it getting to cold. Wait about 20-40 seconds. Keep doing this until you feel the pimple getting flatter.

Don't eat that, you'll get zits! We've all heard it; from parents, friends or even the family doctor. But the fact is, even after extensive study, scientists have not found a connection between diet and acne. Not chocolate. Not french fries. Not pizza. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, " A healthy diet is important for improving raw materials for healthy skin," but they also note that greasy or sugary foods do not cause acne. Likewise, a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association concurred, "Diet plays no role in acne treatment in most patients, even large amounts of certain foods have not clinically exacerbated acne." Of course, that doesn't mean you should make a habit of eating foods high in sugar or fat. The skin is the body's largest organ, so what's good for the rest of you will be good for your skin, too.

The first thing you need to do is massage your face with water as warm as you can stand it. As we all know, warm water opens our pores. Then wash your face with original Irish Spring soap. Rinse with as warm water as possible once again. Gently dab water off with a towel. With pores still open, saturate a cotton ball with hydrogen peroxide until face it completely covered. This rids pores of bacterias and clogging oils. Allow to air dry. When dried, rinse with freezing cold water. This closes the pores up instantly and makes them incredibly smaller as well. Apply Johnson's baby lotion (pink bottle) to the face for moisturizer. It's nice and light. Voil, you will see a difference in 7 days time.

After washing your face, splash your face with cool (not cold) water 10 times. This will get the blood flowing and will help give you a natural glow. Best if done in the morning.

Make sure you wash your face before and after you go to bed, and that you make sure you get a lot of sleep. If you stay up too late your skin will look worn out.

I have had mild acne on and off for about 3 years now. I have just recently decided to do something about it. I have been just regularly washing my face, but nothing special, and I have been eating a lot of junk food. So I started drinking lots of water, eating grapes whenever I have a junk food craving, and looking on the eHow website for tips. Soon, my face had become clear in a matter of five days or less. Here is my daily routine when I'm trying to get rid of mild acne fast: Wash face with warm water, then apply lemon juice to individual pimples. Dance for 20 minutes. The sweat helps clean out your pores, but immediately after dancing, wash face with cold water (dancing also makes you feel good and get in shape, which in turn relieves stress-the reason for some acne). Add more lemon juice, and apply a nickel-size amount of moisturizer to the rest of your face. Have fun all day and be happy! Before you go to bed, wash your face with hot water(you can handle it), and apply toothpaste; but only on individual pimples. Put moisturizer on the rest of your face.

Don't ever pop a pimple. It can cause an infection or a scar.

Take a tablespoon of baking soda. Take about the same amount of warm water and mix these both in a bowl to create a paste. Then use this paste and apply it over your acne and acne prone areas, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Wash off the paste with warm water and pat dry with a towel. Your skin will feel much smoother. Your acne will improve dramatically after doing this for about a week.

When using any scrubs, or anything you wash your face with, do not scrub hard! By scrubbing hard, you are only making your acne worse! Because of the harsh scrubbing, you are making your pores larger and making your skin more prone to breakouts. Trust me, I used to scrub my face till it was red and raw. Remember, you can't scrub your pimples away! For the scrub to have a better effect, scrub gently.

Try not to eat or drink anything with caffeine in it. Chocolate and coffee disturbs the face and makes pimples the next day. I stopped drinking coffee and eating chocolate foods for a while and my skin was glowing. But when I went back on it, I broke out the next day.

I wash my face twice a day. Once when I first wake up, and once before I go to bed. Drink a lot of water. Don't eat chocolate (it will make pimples worse). Don't use a lot of soap when you wash. If you don't get the soap off, it will cause more pimples. Don't scrub very hard, it will hurt your face and cause more pimples. Don't leave makeup on your face overnight.

Make sure that your phone is clean. Use Lysol, or some other product which kills germs. Particularly if others are using it. Resting an oily phone against your chin or cheek can make the situation worse. It also helps reduce the spread of infection.

Buy a cream named Archie. Cover the pimple by cream (you can put it on your face while work or sleeping anytime). When you want to remove the cream, wash your face with soap and after washing, use Clean & Clear cleanser. It really works.

When you wake up in the morning, put ice cubes on your zits. Then use a facial wash or soap. After you've done that, get a cotton ball and use any facial cleanser. Before you go to bed, again use ice cubes then your facial wash, then pat dry. Then you slice a potato and leave it on your face overnight. Just continue this routine until the zits are gone.

If you have a really big huge pimple (mainly the harder, painful ones), put Neosporin on it at night. If the Neosporin soaks in before you go to bed, apply another coat of it. Continue to consistently do this on large pimples and you are sure to see results.
