Comments on How to Treat Pimples

I read that if you mash up Cheerios into a powder type substance, and mix it with mild salsa and apply it to your face like a mask it would cure zits over night. After reading that I tried it and it has been the best thing I've ever tried. I do it once every week and I haven't broken out in 4 years. The wheat in the Cheerios causes new cell growth and the salsa generates acid into your pores to eliminate bacterias. Leave it on for about 25 minutes or until hard, and wash it off with warm water.

Whatever you do, do not touch your zit(s). Once there was a tiny blemish on my nose that wasn't noticeable at all, but it bugged me so I started picking at it, and a little later I looked in the mirror and there was a huge red zit there. It took so long to go away and I was always so self conscious. So, don't pick your zits!

Well I have been fighting acne for a while. I have gone to a dermatologist and was put on medicine for 5 months. But thats cause my acne was extremely bad. Now I only have a little bit of acne, so every day (at least twice a day) I wash my face with Oxy Acne wash. It makes your skin feel a little dry, so drink water. For my acne scars, I use moisturizing scar lotion, which is greaseless.

Mix toothpaste and Neosporin and apply before you go to bed. In one week you should see results.

Microwave hot water in a bowl for about 5 minutes, then place your face over the steam of the bowl. This will kill all of the bacteria in your pores. When about 2 minutes is up, go to the sink and rinse your face with cold water, this will close your pores.

If you must pop a zit, try not to do so with your fingers. There is so much bacteria under your fingernails and on your fingers, which will probably end up infecting the zit and making it even bigger.

    1) Take a long hot shower. 2) Sterilize a needle by sticking it over a blue flame, then wipe clean. 3) Peirce the head of the pimple, pushing at a 45 degree angle. 4) Using a tissue paper, squeeze out the puss until the pimple bleeds. 5) Wipe area with a disinfectant and wash hands.

I recently purchased Baby Wash for hair and body for $1 (or you can buy the real Johnson&Johnson brand), after remembering one of my friends using it to wash her face. I was skeptical at first, but even though it's only been about a week, I can tell a difference. It never dries out my skin and my skin is looking better all ready. I have fewer pimples and my skin feels fresh and clean. It's working for me so far, and at only a dollar for a good bottle, I'd say you should try it.

I hardly ever get pimples, but had an awful acne breakout after being on 2 strong medications. I had a wedding to go to and wanted to get rid of them. So I washed my face with a gentle cleanser two times a day, like normal, and afterward applied antibacterial ointment to the worst pimples. I used Bacitracin, but I guess Neosporin would have the same effect. Sure enough, after just 2 applications my huge pimple had shrunk down and was no longer red!

Never pop a pimple that is still too small. This is something you will regret. Go to your doctor and tell him that you have troubles with pimples. He will give a very good cream. This might be embarrassing at first to go to the doctor, but later on you will be happy you did and have less suffering.

If you have blackheads or whiteheads, use a good quality facial scrub(microspheres only- no apricot kernels, no exceptions, they'll scratch your skin) twice a week and a good quality clay mask once or twice a week (not the same day as the scrub). Be gentle with the scrub- let it do the work. Scrubbing your skin too hard will irritate it and could make the breakout worse, and will make your skin uneven and blotchy over time. Don't try to squeeze or pick - you'll make the pore larger and it will look bad and more dirt and oil can get in it. Better to hold a hot, wet washcloth over it and let it work its own way out. Keep it up- they didn't get there in one day and they won't disappear in one day either. Avoid any thing with oil, cleanse and moisturize with gentle products made for oily skin. Benzoyl peroxide may make whiteheads worse.

I'm a girl with really sensitive skin. I tried everything I know just to get rid of my mild acne. But nothing really works. But then my mom suggested that I wash my face using my facial wash three times a day and put ice on the acne. I did it for a couple of weeks and it is now reducing my acne. I don't really know if it will work for you, but it's worth a try.

I wash my face twice a day, and I notice that I get fewer breakouts when I do this. When I do get the occasional one, after I wash my face, I put some antibacterial ointment (Neosporin) on the pimple, and it heals faster.

Taking a zinc supplement and eating 3-5 carrots every morning has helped my skin a lot. I get less pimples and the few I do get are easier to pop and heal faster.

I bought a steamer and daily I would steam my back and face. I scrubbed my back every day and night with plain soap and benzoyl peroxide. Daily I followed these steps: - exfoliating every other day - moisturizing - witch hazel or Clinique's liquid solution - Clinique's facial soap All my acne finally cleared up.

Try to keep your face as clean as possible! By touching it with your hands, you are putting all the bacteria and oil on your hands on your face, therefore it is clogging your pores.

Have a pimple and are sick of it? Follow these instructions to reduce and take away pimples: 1) Wash your face with your daily cleanser. 2) Dry it with a towel (Make sure not to rub on pimples). 3) Get a hot towel and place it on where your pimples are for 1-3 minutes. 4) Get toothpaste on your finger and apply it to the pimples. 5) Keep the toothpaste on for about 20-30 minutes. 6) Once the time is done, wash it off with lukewarm water. 7) Apply your daily moisturizer. 8) Do this for about a week. Trust me, the first time you do it it will shrink the pimples.

I use St. Ives face scrub for my skin. It works really well since it exfoliates the dead skin layer and lets the newer skin shine through. It's also medicated, so that helps too. And, if you go to a dermatologist, ask him for BenzaClin. This stuff is amazing on greasy or skin that has bumps on it.
