on 9/12/2006 When a pimple appears, and you squeeze it (which is wrong), it reddens up. If you don't want it to swell, then use some iodine, a little on the pimple, which I put before I sleep, and I see great effects, after a week or so, the pimple disappears.

on 9/9/2006 I've always had a problem with pimples on my forehead right before my period. I've tried everything. But this works for me:

Seep a quarter of a cup of green tea as hot as you can make it. Dab a cotton ball into the tea and apply to face for 15 minutes and take two ibuprofen. Works wonders!

on 9/9/2006 Cut up a lemon and dab it over your pimple for about 5 minutes. You'll see it getting smaller. Trust me.

on 9/3/2006 Wash your face with tepid water (warm). Hot water breaks the capillaries in your face. Also look for products that contain AHA's or BHA's. AHA or alpha hydroxy acid's exfoliate the outer layer of skin and do not exfoliate inside the pore. But, BHA's (Salycilic Acid) exfoliate in the pore and on the surface layer of the skin. Also look for masks with sulfur which will reduce redness. Benzoyl Peroxide is also great in a product because it is an anti bacteria agent. Also a cleanser with manual exfoliaters. But make sure the manual exfoliaters are completely round, because if there not they can scratch and tear at the skin. Also don't forget to moisturize and drink lots of water, roughly 2 liters a day. But, don't drink more than that because then it is to much water and it is bad for you.

on 8/23/2006 I have tried so many different brands of skin products and most of them had no real affect on my acne/blemishes. I then went to a dermatologist and she prescribed me with Duac and another topical gel. Nothing seemed to work. I did however notice ads for Proactiv. I thought that it was another one of those 'not worth your while' advertisements. I tried it and at first I got OK results. Then they directed me to the Extra Strength Formula. I have seen such a big difference in my skin.

I also suffer from oily skin. If you suffer from oily skin try: Proactiv Oil Control, Oil Free Moisturizer, Sheer Magnifying Gel. Also during the day get Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets. They help me so much during my days at school.

If this advice doesn't help you, I wish you the best of luck though finding something that really does cure your acne problem. Also just to let you know don't avoid fatty foods,/ junk foods or greasy foods because their not the cause of your acne. They're not good for your body, but they're not the cause of acne. And also remember you're not alone!

on 8/16/2006 Swimming is good for your acme because the chlorine in the pool kills all bacteria on your face and body. Swim once or twice a day, it should be almost all gone in a week or so.

on 8/14/2006 Whenever I have a pimple, I put a big glob of Clearasil or Persa-gel on the pimple overnight and it dries it right up! It has to be name brand though, otherwise it does not work. I have found this works just like the toothpaste method.

on 8/8/2006 I'm 12 years old and have acne. I haven't been eating any chocolate or fast food for about a week. All of a sudden my pimples started disappearing. Every now and then a new one would start appearing, I would wash my face, pop the zit, then put toothpaste on it, before I go to bed. And the next day, I wipe off the toothpaste and the pimple is dried out.

on 8/8/2006 I had a modeling interview one Saturday, and on the Wednesday before, I got a huge pimple. I totally freaked out because I had never got a pimple before! I looked all over the Internet for things to cure the pimple, and I tried everything. The one and only thing that got the pimple away was to dab hair spray onto the head of the pimple with a Q-tip, and it was gone by Friday! I got a contract, all because of my flawless skin. Try it, It will definitely help!!

on 8/8/2006 If you drink 7 tall glasses of water each and every day, and stay far far away from sugar, you will have blemish free skin. Just put yourself in a routine of drinking water only and get used to it. That's the hardest part.

on 8/8/2006 If you have oily skin, use soap mixed with some salt, wash your face with your hands using a light touch. Rinse and dry. Salt draws and dries.
If your skin is on the dry side, use sugar instead of salt. The sugar should do the same thing.

on 8/8/2006 One day I wasn't going anywhere so I decided to skip showering. The natural oil caused my face to break out the next day. Even if you intend on watching TV and being lazy, make sure to shower and cleanse your face every day! Otherwise, the oil clogs your pores.

on 8/8/2006 My Father-in-law has had a problem with pimples for years. He once told me at bedtime he puts a piece of medical tape (the white tape that is used with gauze normally) directly on the pimple. He said this has worked great for him!

on 8/8/2006 What you need: (Do not leave out any ingredients)

2 Wash clothes
4 cups of hot water
4 Cups of cold water
1 1/2 cups of ice cubes
2 medium size bowls
1/2 cup of oatmeal
1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar (organic preferred)
1 bag of chamomile tea (organic preferred)
4 cups of drinking water
8 hours to sleep

A: Hot water
In one medium size Bowl: Heat up 4 cups of water in a dish (not so hot that it is going to burn you). Then add a small handful (1/4 cup) of oatmeal and (1 bag) of chamomile tea (organic preferred).

B: Cold water
In one medium size bowl: Fill with 4 cups of cold water and 1 1/2 cup ice cubes. Add 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar to this (organic preferred).

Instructions:

1 - Put one wash cloth in your hot water and one in your cold water. Keep your eyes closed and place the hot wash cloth over your face, hold for 8 seconds and release. Immediately following, place the cold water wash cloth on your face and hold for 8 seconds (it might smell funny, but it's working it's magic).

2 - Keep alternating from the hot to cold 15 times.

3 - Wash your face with warm water, then rub 1/4 cup vinegar around your face. You will feel a burning sensation. This is the vinegar killing bacteria.

4 - Wait 30 seconds and then wash your face with cold water.

5 - Drink 4 cups of water and get 8 hours of sleep.

6 - Presto, your pimples will be a lot smaller and heal much faster.
