try toothpaste not mint though it will burn and put a dab on while your in the shower leave it on till you wash your face about 20 mins then wash off but make sure you wash it all off and then get soap and wash face again and it will take the redness away and soreness and take swelling away and do that for 3 days and what you know pimpels gone

1/8 tsp lemon juice + 1/8 rosewater + 1/8 vinegar Swab it all over your face before bed. In the morning wash your face with any acne face wash and you'll feel a dramatic difference in the texture of your skin. My face feels so soft and the pimples, reddness, and oil go away. The vinegar smell evaporates. I swear by this! It's cheap and it really works!

I'm not Jessica Simpson or Kelly Clarkson but, proactiv really does work the best! After having a baby, my acne got so bad. I tried everything to get rid of it. Seriously I probably spent around $300 on regular face wash and masks and all that from the stores and it just wouldn't take it away. Finally I tried proactiv and I haven't had any issues since. BUT if you quit using it, in a month you will start to see it come back. I use it now only 3 or 4 times a week and its great. You don't even have to use all three steps you can just use the toner and it gets the job done!

For redness try lightly rubbing on some Visine for red eyes. Sounds wierd but it works for a temporary fix.

okay. im one of those people who gets whiteheads about 2 times a month. and BIG RED CYSTIC zits about 4 times a year. and i can always get rid of them over night. for cystic zits(the hard ones with no head that hurt extremly bad) put toothpaste all around it and leave it there all night/ REGULAR PASTE!!!! get crest:regular paste. NO WHITENING TOOTHPASTE OR GEL! and for whiteheads i use sulfur. it comes in a pink bottle. apply with a Q-tip. burns like hell, but hey.... its worth it!! seriously. if ur a teen with sensitive skin(like me) try this!

ATTENTION!!!! PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE IDIOTS TOOTHPASTE ALCOHOL AND PEROXIDE WILL ONLY STRIP YOUR SKIN AND MAKE YOUR OIL GLANDS OVER COMPENSATE CAUSING MORE PIMPLES! DO NOT USE ANY OF THOSE PRODUCTS AND BENZOIL PEROXIDE MAY MAKE YOUR SKIN RED AND DRY IF LEFT ON SKIN IT MAY ALSO CAUSE BREAKOUTS!
  • hijinks155 Apr 07, 2007
Okay, some people say to put toothpaste rubbing alcohol or peroxide on your pimples, THIS WILL NOT WORK! This will only strip the top layer of skin, causing the tingling sensation, and peroxide can bleach your skin, and cause break outs in places that were clear before, if you do any of those things that are you are strongly advised against by trained dermatologists you will be sorry, and also if you have been using clean and clear clearasil or proactive and have experienced breakouts in places you didnt get them before or skin inflammation you may be reacting to the leave on benzoyl peroxide treatments, and should rinse them off after a period of time.

Accutane is definately worth it for serious cases. DO NOT be detered by what you hear about side effects, at least talk to a dermatologist.

People say that soda and chocolate and junk food will make acne worse. This is a myth. Obviously if a food causes flair ups, avoid it, but it could be anything, not just pop and candy. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, there are three major components to your skin care regimen. A cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer. [While you cleanse, use warm water, which opens the pores and makes it easier to clean. Afterwards, dip your face in cold water to close the pores.] It seems as though everyone is looking for that miracle product that will zap a zit once you get it, but the only way to clear skin is a routine that keeps your skin clean, healthy, and hydrated [this is where drinking a lot of water and using a moisturizer comes in]. There may be some remedies that make your zits go away over night, but these work for some and not for others, so you really can't ask another person. Just have a routine that you follow each day, and keep a balanced diet. Also, make sure that your cleanser has some sort of exfoliant. So "microbeads" on the label would be preferable, because this helps to slough off dead skin cells. Acne is caused when your body can't slough them off quick enough and they form a plug in your pores which holds in oil and bacteria [zit]. I use proactiv solution, and it works wonders for me, but not for some. If you use it and find that your skin burns each time you use it, take a few days off and pick it back up. If that doesn't work, try using the cleanser, the toner, skipping the repairing lotion and going straight to the moisturizer. Let's recap, shall we? CLEANSER. TONER. MOISTURIZER. Even if it's not proactiv. These are so important. Lots of water. This keeps your skin hydrated and healthy. Balanced diet and multi vitamin. These will keep your hormone levels in check. And if you wear make-up, make sure your make-up brand is non-comedogenic, and don't wear make-up while working out.

I think, drinking lots of water and having enough sleep would help reduce pimples. And of course, with the help of treatment creams and daily face wash. If you're living in a tropical hot country, remove the oil on your face whenever possible.

After you clean your face with a cleanser, squeeze a good amount of lemon juice on a (very) clean makeup pad and apply to face. Leave for 5 minutes, then rinse. Also, your moisturizer should be oil-free.

Every morning and night, rub the gel from inside an aloe vera leaf on your face. The liquid keeps my face from getting oily and keeps pimples away! Different things work for different people, but I love the aloe vera.
