I have discovered an amazing way to get rid of pimples when they appear (and keep them from re-appearing). When you first feel a pimple or whitehead forming under the skin, ice it! It will shrink, and it might vanish. If not, apply baking soda and lemon juice to it immediately, and keep reapplying this mixture in the morning and before bed. If a pimple has already popped, put Polysporin on it. This stuff works great! I had a pimple that popped, and I kept putting Polysporin on it. It completely went away in 2 days. There are no scars. Make sure you buy the triple-action vitamin E enriched Polysporin (for around 7 or 8 dollars). It is really worth it! Remember to drink lots of water, eat your fruits and vegetables, and choose foods with iron, fiber and zinc in them. Whatever you do, don't pick or try to pop a pimple. This will only make it worse (and lead to scarring). Do not use lots of products. I find that if you steam your face at least twice a week, clean your face each morning with a mild cleanser, and apply a mud mask every other day, your pimples will go away. You don't need to buy all of that expensive stuff. However, if your acne is really bad, seek a doctor's help. -

Go to your local gym (or your basement if you're lucky), and get in the sauna. Stay in there for an hour, just make sure that the sweat is actually dripping off your nose when you look down. Take a shower and throughly wash your face immediately. If you skip this step I don't think you're helping anything. While you're there, consider popping it to speed things along even more. Sleep for the night. By the next day it should be considerably smaller. The day after it should be gone. -

Most teenagers get pimples, so don't be let down by that. The common pimple is red with a white center. Myself and 8 of my friends tested spraying deodorant on the pimples. It reduces swelling and blends the spot in with the rest of your skin (due to the white powder in the deodorant). Deodorant, the only thing you need. It leaves you smelling great and pimple free! -

If you have a whitehead, the best thing to do is not to use your fingernails! Use a needle to release the pressure, then gently squeeze out the puss. Afterward, wash your face with cold water. Using a needle basically lowers the pressure, and greatly lowers the chance of the blood rushing to the pimple, which makes it really red! -

Before you go to bed every night, spread on cold or room temperature aloe vera. It disinfects and heals naturally. Also, don't wash your face with too much soap. You can just use warm water and rinse cold and it won't irritate your skin! -

Calamine lotion dries out the pimple and makes it smaller. With a cotton ball, dab a little all over the pimple until it's covered. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then wash it off. -

Any tea tree oil product works great to fight nasty blemishes! It's basically the only thing that removes and keeps away blemishes. The Body Shop has fantastic tea tree oil products, which I've tried myself. Different varities like foaming face washes or blemish sticks are foolproof methods of getting rid of nasty breakouts for good! If you don't believe me then try for yourself! I'll bet it'll be the best face cleanser that you've ever bought. Remember though that tea tree oil is a very harsh substance so if you have delicate skin that dries out then be sure to start with a product that has the lowest tea tree oil rate. If you don't know what that is it's always a good idea to ask a professional, or the salesclerk even! Hope this helps! -

Wash your face with a mild soap. Use a clean warm steamy washcloth to open pores, and rub in an antibacterial cream, like neosporian or triple bacterial fighting ointment and leave on over night. Then in the morning wash and steam your face but after steaming don't apply cream rub with ice cubes, they really close pores.. Two other tips are DRINK LOTS OF WATER and KEEP YOUR HAND OFF YOUR FACE > that includes no picking, scratching, popping, or leaning on your oily hands. -

If you have a lot of pimples or reccuring acne, the best thing to do is to wash your face with an exfoliant in the morning, and a light skin cleanser in the evening. During the day, if your skin starts to feel oily, drink a bottle of water or wipe your face with an alcohol pad. Before you got to bed each night, rub acne cream on the area where the pimples are located. It is best to use a cream with 7% (or higher) benzoyl peroxide. -

Go to sleep with your facial cleanser on. Your pimples will definitely be smaller (or gone) by morning. -

I was skeptical about this whole toothpaste thing, but I decided to give it a try. The morning after trying it, the places where I had broken out the day before were noticeably smaller and less- noticeable. Now my pimples aren't noticeable at all! -

Just ignore it and it will go away. However, if you see that pus is forming inside and you are really eager to squeeze it, wait a couple of days until it gets bigger. Estimate the force of the squeeze you are going to apply. The "riper" the pimple, the gentler the squeeze you are going to need. This will make the pimple less prone to scarring. If you aren't that eager and you are scared of getting scars, just wait until it pops by itself. -

To have healthy skin, there are a number of things needed. First, a good diet is needed. Get all your vitamins. For the skin, use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Use an exfoliant twice a week, then a mask and facial massage once a week. -

Try oil free cleansing face wash. The foaming type of face wash helps better. I've been using it for the past 6 months and I can see an appreciable improvement in my complexion and a reduction in pimples. Another effective tip is to reduce usage of makeup of any kind. -

First, you need to wash your face with a cleanser. Then, using a washcloth and 5-6 cubes of ice, rub your face, gently. If you have a pimple, it will get smaller or it will be gone. Use this method every other day. It will work. I promise. =) -

I am 14 years old and have had bad acne since I was 10 or so. I have tried everything. The only thing that has worked for me is PROACTIVE. My face has been almost clear for 2 months. I don't wear foundation anymore! -

When you get a pimple, imagine that there is police tape around it. Your pimple is off limits to touch. The oils from your hands will make it harder for it to go away. And do NOT pop it. This will spread the bacteria (causing more pimples on other areas of your face) and often times leave a scar (whether you use your fingernails or not). -

Get a washcloth and put a little apple cider vinegar on it. Put the washcloth on your pimples. It may sting, but it takes away the redness of the pimples. -

I admit that my acne is not that bad, but I still suffer and I dread every morning when I wake up and look in the mirror to see if I have any new spots. I know that usually when you come on to this website, you're looking for a quick overnight cure, but here's some long-term advice: 1. Drink lots of water! 2. Do not eat lots of chocolate or sweets. 3. Eat healthy things like carrots and apples. I did this for about a week and I stopped getting spots. But the minute I started eating chocolate and not drinking much water, they came back! So take my advice, it works! I also tried tee tree oil, which also helped a lot. -

I tired Proactive, and it didn't work for me. I think my skin is too sensitive, it made my skin a lot worse. It my work for someone else, but beware if you have sensitve skin. -

There truly is no miracle cure. Except for medications, the only things you can do are, take good care of your skin (wash it night and day), do not pick at blemishes, and try to live a healthy (good food and exercise) and strees free lifestyle. -

At night, wash your face and put a tiny dab of toothpaste on the zit. When you wake up, wash your face with warm water and soap. The warm water opens the pores and lets the medicine in the facewash work. Rinse off the soap with cold water to close the pores. This really works! -

Guys, unless you have a gigantic zit that would get cut if you ran over it with a razor, shaving helps control acne. Shaving removes dead skin, and the warm water opens your pores. Hair traps oils that could lead to more pimples. -

Try some mud or clay masks to clear up pimples. Any kind should do. They leave your skin feeling soft and babyish and also noticably shrink up zits!
