on 1/6/2006 For jeans, pants or coat buttons, you might want to carry some heavy button thread. You can get cardboard and plastic flat bobbins to wind the thread separately.

on 1/6/2006 In many sewing sections and fabric stores you can find Rainbow Thread braid, which combines several colors in a handy 27-inch length. You just find the color you need and pull out one thread - tie braid will kink up on you, but it'll straighten out without much effort.
