on 4/30/2008 There is a new cheap advertising method I found. Advertise on the back of other people's business cards. Check out this site: http://www.unlimitedbusinesscards.com
on 9/22/2007 Try out Group Advertising - Group advertising is when a group of small businesses with a common target market get together to purchase a full page ad in a magazine aimed at their common target market. It is a way to get your product into the minds of customers. A good site to check out is groupadnetwork.com
on 7/2/2007 you can place a cheap advert at www.bestcompaniesintheworld.com it will get you business! cheapest adverts are £10 ($20) for a permanent place! upto whatever you require!
on 11/25/2006 Online advertising is expensive and potentially a waste of time and money if you aren't careful. Stay away from pixel advertising. Don't know about AdsBay (listed above) but I'm skeptical. Check adbrite.com they list a ton of websites that are selling advertising spots. This way you choose a somewhat related website to have your ad placed on. They also show the traffic they get, average click through rates, cost per click. They are used by a TON of well known websites to manage their advertising programs. Or you could choose a long shot with a low cost potentially high upside by advertising on sites boasting the next neatest idea (see advertisingpyramid.com as an example). Good luck and do your homework!
on 8/8/2006 By far the cheapest advertising is online advertising, and now with the new pixel advertising phenomenon, this has become even cheaper. Although the most part of pixel advertising does not work, and any hits you get from these sort of sites do not lead to any sales, the pixel advertising network has become very large with almost all pixel websites connect to each other in some way. This vast network of websites makes pixel advertising very useful for getting your website listed very high in search engines, as Google and other major search engines love sites that link to other relevant sites. Although you should be aware that pixel websites that mask your link (usually to track the number of clicks it has received) are almost useless for search engine optimization and usually several links from several different websites are required to see results. All this means you can buy pixel advertising for as little as 1 per link for up to 5 years in some cases, which will increase your search engine ranking dramatically, which in turn will bring people to your website that are looking for your product. I have found a very useful place to find all sorts of cheap advertising space including some of the cheapest pixel advertising I have been able to find, called AdsBay. It is basically an auction site designed specifically for advertising products and services.
on 8/8/2006 Testimonials are another great and cheap way of advertising. Use them all over the place. If a customer is happy with your service then they'll be more than happy to write a testimonial.
on 6/30/2006 Internet advertising is one of the most effective mediums for advertising your business or services, but finding the right one could be time consuming, costly, and tiresome. There are many Internet based companies out there who make big claims and promises about generating millions of hits a day to your website, and sending incredible amount of visitor traffic. Beware of these sites.
on 11/22/2005 eBay is a good source. Do a quick Google search for "advert hosting" or "advert space".
on 11/22/2005 How to cost effectively place a Yellow Page ad.Yellow Page advertising is best for advertisers who want to sell to consumers, although it does work for businesses that sell to businesses. There are certain businesses that do better with Yellow Page advertising than others; especially businesses that are considered emergency businesses like plumbers, auto repair, etc. There are two types of Yellow Page programs: As an advertiser you have the choice of running a dominant, competitive display ad that usually gets the lion's share of phone calls in a particular heading. The other choice you have is a representative in-column ad (smaller and run alphabetically down the row of other companies that have a free listing of company name, address, and phone number). These smaller in-column ads get decent results, but are better suited for advertisers who want visibility in a phone book and an objective to assist their referrals and current customers to find them more easily and quicker. Price for Yellow Page advertising is dependent on the size of an ad and how many books you go into. If you choose one book and run a full-page display ad in a utility company's Yellow Pages, the cost can be as much as $2000 a month. Independent publishers of Yellow Pages are usually half the cost of the utility phone books. In-column ads are usually between $60 a month to $100 a month. In-column ads can generate a fair number of phone calls if you run an in-column ad in a undeveloped heading like piano tuning. Hence, not everyone owns a piano so the potential market is smaller.Keep in mind, Yellow Page advertising is directional advertising; potential customers using the phone book are very serious buyers who want answers now. About 90% of consumers using a phone book will make a purchase. They have money in hand and want to find someone good and trustworthy to spend it with.Better Yellow Page phone books have a lot of advertisements and a developed restaurant section.
