I know lots of people say to apply blush just smile to find the apple of your cheeks, but like I said, since I don't have prominent cheekbones this just did NOT work for me. The opposite (working inward from temples to nose) DOES work for me when I apply blush. But of course, if you've found a method that works for you, absolutely stick with it! My article here just provides an alternative if the typical method isn't giving you results you're happy with when you apply blush :) -

To find the 'apple of your cheeks' you SMILE! Bam, there it is. I apply my blush by smiling and burshing the blush upwards. Gorgeous! It works for me. -

Great article! Also, if you do apply too much blush, instead of covering with more powder, try gently brushing it off and blending it in with your finger tips. -

I've never worn blush because I have no idea how to do it and the few times I tried I got that "crazy grandma" look...lol I always admire it on people who know what they're doing, so maybe it's time to give it another try :-) -

Long Lasting Foundation- apply your concealer first and dot until it blends in and then apply any powder for a long lating great cover up then for a great finish take a clean large round brush and smooth all around to have a even application -

Why in blazes name would you put rosy glitter on your ears? That's the studpidest advice I've ever heard. If you want to highlight your cheeks, try putting on a highlighter product on your cheekbones, and the blush under that. Duhhhhhhhhh. What bimbo puts ROSY GLITTER on their ears? -

Suck in your cheeks; like you're a fish. In a tapping, upward motion, apply blush to the cheek bones (which you can see when your cheeks are sucked in). -

If you have a natural blush that covers your entire cheeks, but not forehead and chin, blend colors from a blush pallet that match your skin tone and add where you want to downplay the blush. -

Never overdo your makeup. You should always concentrate on one part of your face and the rest should be simple. As for applying a blush, never overdo it. Always wear a blush that suits the color of your face. Be careful not to put on too much because you may look like a clown. -

Make sure to blend makeup into your jawline and hairline so it looks more natural. Also try using a brush instead of those square sponge things or your face will look to cakey. -

If your face is already rosy in one spot on the cheek (i.e. the apple only), apply blush where you need it and make it the same shade as the natural color. If you don't, you will look like you put on two shades of blush. -

If you have pale skin, try applying a bronze shade to your entire face and neck. Add a little more on the ckeeks. It will make your skin one, even tone. -

I read somewhere that if your face is narrow, you should apply blush in horizontal strokes. -

If you are going to a dance or party and you want to set off your cheeks, put glitter on your cheekbone, smear it over to your ears and down. This makes it look like you have high cheekbones. -

If you are unsure where to apply blush; smile (big) in the mirror and apply to the apples of your cheeks - where there is a big round bulge. -

You can use your lipstick (shades of red and pink) for blush. If you have forgotten your blush, you can readily make use of your lipstick. -

Put light, neutral blush or (especially) bronzer to your jaw lines, the space between your eyes and brows, the corners of your nose, and near your ears. This makes your teeth look whiter, your face glow, and your eyes look bright, healthy and gorgeous. Don't put too much on, because then you would look like a coloring book!
