on 10/18/2009 Tarot Cards are not game:(

on 10/24/2008 Pin the names of famous monsters and tarot cards?
What the hell kind of party are you planining?
It almost seems like your getting kindergardners to become wicken or something.
I feel deep sympathy for your kids if you even have any.
What did you even think the ages you were planing were?
10 at the oldest could pass...But seriously, If any parents are reading this, DON'T ABIDE TO THIS!
Not unless you want your child to be laughed at for the rest of their high school life.

on 10/14/2008 Tarot cards and Ouija Boards scary, spooky, mysterious, and down right creepy why not include them in the Halloween fun?

on 10/13/2008 I think it is disrespectful to tell people to use tarot cards at a party. Tarot cards are meant to be used as a spiritual tool, not a a party game. I takes many years to perfect the use of tarot cards and they ARE NOT evil or spooky.

on 9/21/2008 I'm not a teen, but I think a better way than requiring kids to dress up is to have some kind of incentive for them to dress up, some kind of door prizes for those who do dress in costumes

on 9/20/2008 OOO! It's so annoying when I spot a spelling mistake!
I meant KC and the Sunshine BAND not, BAN.
That typo gave them a whole new meaning. :O)

on 9/19/2008 I'm a parent who is going to host a party for my daughters who are 12. I'm going to take most of the teens advice on here and just let the kids entertain themselves. I will provide food and music and check up on them every so often. BUT, I have one question that I don't know if anyone has commented on. I want to require that the kids come dressed in a costume but my daughters say that some kids won't come. If they don't dress up, then what's the point of having a "Halloween" party? Would you kids go to a party if you have to wear a costume? Thanks!

on 9/15/2008 Here are some music suggestions:

Monster Mash (of course)
Theme from Ghostbusters
Thriller - Michael Jackson
It's A Hip Hop Halloween Night - The Halloween Freaks
I'm Your Boogie Man - (I prefer the original by KC and the Sunshine Ban), but there are other versions.

on 8/24/2008 i will try this i will be a host at the house of goules

on 5/8/2008 I think the best parties have:

1. At least 5 horror movies.

2. A good music selection.

3. SILLY STRING...LOTS AND LOTS OF SILLY STRING!

4. Guests have the option to wear costumes.

5. A GOOD AMOUNT OF FOOD...HEALTHY, UNHEALTHY, AND SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN.

6. Lots of soda, so you don't fall asleep during the party!

7. Free-for-all games. For example: freeze tag, outside, in a large area, when it's really dark out, WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS.

8. Creepy decor.

9. Tons of candy!

AND FINALLY:

10. Doing illegal, but ABSOLUTELY HARMLESS, activities, like T.P.-ing and egging, using those special "window paint" markers to write things on a car or window, such as "Gotcha!", "I(or we) win, you lose!" ;)

on 10/4/2007 I've been throwing an annual halloween party for four years. I keep thinking the kids are getting too old for games or the blind-folded haunted house (they are in middle school and high school), but whenever I try to cut anything out of the party, my kids' friends are disappointed. I add more humor to the activities as they get older, and I give more choices. We have dancing and games in the garage, halloween movies (usually funny ones) in the living room, snacks in the kitchen, and general hanging out in the game room, all at the same time so that the kids that just want to hang out can. The party has gotten so big that we started asking everyone to bring pop or a snack to share. We've learned to limit it to two hours. After that we run out of things to do, the kids get bored, and the mischief begins.

on 10/1/2007 I Will make it easy for all the adults reading this.
VERY scary films: yes
Lame music like "follow the leader": no
Fancy dress: yes
Spooky Food: no (normal pizza is just fine)
Age restrictions: yes but ONLY to keep little kids out
Interfering parents who want to do everything and control every tiny little thing and try to force us to play kiddie games: NO!!! how would you like it if we came to one of your party's while you were trying to impress a friend or your crush and we made you play pass the parcel

don't check up on us to often
don't try to keep the boys and girls separate
and DON'T try and get involved and act cool
A DANCING PARENT IS VERY EMBARRASSING!!!

on 9/14/2007 Suggestions are fine, but number 6: Ouija board and the tarot cards is about the worst idea I have read. Yes, let's teach our children to be superstitious (sarcasm) and fiddle with questionable and dangerous things as well.
