we doa halloween party every year and here is teh best mix for small children: 12 is enough. Do a story, then outside for games. Then a craft Then eats. Then free play till parents coem pick them up. 2-3 hours is plenty. Games: Mummy wrap with Toilet paper. Pin the skeloton bones up .place in a bag & mix 'em up. Relay race balance small pumpkins on plungers. Fairey circle.

anyone have any idea my best friend just opened a store sever home made food and was thinkin bout to have a little halloween party for the young children think it might help the buss.

During a children's Halloween Party we set the table up with all the 'supplies' needed to make a take-home Spooky Haunted House that is fully edible. (Along the same lines as a Gingerbread House) Each child is given a styrofoam base that is covered with tin foil. Then each child is given an individual bowl of mixed dark-color candies, like black licorice pieces, orange and brown Smarties or M & Ms, little candy coke bottles, orange, green & black jube jubes, candy corn, and raisins, etc. Each child also gets a bowl of 'glue' made of royal icing and green food coloring. A popsicle stick is used to spread the 'glue' and connect the pieces of the haunted house. The building blocks for the Haunted House - chocolate ice wafer cookies, chocolate covered marshmellow cookies, and a few white marshmallows (ghosts)are shared by all and kept in the centre of the table. The children will 'build' their houses and decorate them however they like. Take pictures of the creations, because they don't last long. (They get eaten!)

Get a halloween cd with songs like "Monster Mash" and others like it. Have a contest on who can dance the funniest, or the weirdest. Award prizes to the winners, it's great for the kids, and a lot of fun for the adults to watch.

Blindfold them,lead them thru putting their hands in the "goodies". Peeled grapes for eyeballs, cooked spaghetti for worms, thick batch of jello with pieces cutout for heart, mix the rest putting in other things for guts, brains. They love it.

I use plastic pumpkins, the ones kids use to trick or treat with. They were only $.99. I fill them with halloween novelty party items and candy. The kids love them and get to use them again when they go trick or treating.

Have a contest having three kids wrapping three other kids as mummies with toilet paper. The first two who finish first, get a halloween prize.

Divide guests by two so everyone has a partner. Give each person 1 roll of toilet paper. At the word GO!, all guests quickly wrap their "mummy" partners in toilet paper using entire roll. The first team wrapped shouts WRAPPED! and wins a novelty or treat.
