This year for my love, I am making a set of three picture frames that will hang vertically connected by black ribbons. Each frame will be collaged with pictures and phrases that describe our relationship. I bought 3 paper mache picture frames, a spool of black ribbon, several pages of scrapbook stickers and scrapbook pages (to be used as a background for the pictures and phrases) at Hobby Lobby. After I glue the pictures to the frames, I paint several layers of glossy mod podge on, let them dry and connect them together with the ribbon. In the top and bottom frame I am putting my favorite pictures of us and in the center frame, I am framing my favorite quote about love. -

A sweet and romantic idea is giving your boyfriend a message in a bottle. First, take an old wine bottle with a cork or screw-on top. Usually you can find them at a grocery store, many have flavored sparkling grape juice if you like that as an alternative. Drink it, take off the wrapping, wash out the bottle and fill it 2 inches full of sand, add some seashells and throw in a romantic message about what you're doing later or how much you love them. -

You could put red roses on his bed, or go on a lovely date, like hiring out a limo and going to dinner. You could also give him a a nice little teddy bear, which could say "I love you so much." You could go dancing, then go back to his house and have some wine! -

I know this might sound really over the edge, but I gave my guy a box of chocolate, with a little card for each class period we have in the day (5). Enclosed in the card was a hint to where his first gift was located. When he found his first gift, he also found more hints to lead him to other gifts. The last gift was me - holding tickets to the sporting event he had been wanting to attend. -

I took a small wooden box and painted it green (his favorite color). I put sand in the bottom of the box and then glued seashells all over the outside (we're planning going to Tahiti for our honeymoon next year) and filled it up with lots of things. Pictures of us, wedding dress pictures I like, love coupons, a story about how we met and felt together wrapped into a scroll, a collection of stories binded together about things I admire about him, dates we've been on, our future plans, first times we experienced together and silly things we've done. I took him up to our spot (that overlooks the city) one night, and while we were snuggling and talking about how much we loved each other, I surprised him with the treasure box and melted his heart. He was really impressed how much I remembered the little details of the past (we don't talk about them much). -

I always like to write my boyfriend a letter on Valentine's day that sums up the previous year - good times, bad times, and moments which have made us both laugh. He always looks forward to his Valentine's Day letter, and (as I discovered just the other day) he's kept every single one since we started dating! What a sweetie! -

If you can't be right next to your honey on Valentine's Day, you can at least remind him of how lucky he is to have you. Buy a sexy outfit at Victoria's Secret and have one of your girlfriends take pictures of you in it. Send your man both the pictures and the actual outfit. He'll remember this special day forever. -

My boyfriend is working on Valentine's day, but when he comes home late, I will have a special dessert waiting for him. I've bought a cheesecake (his favorite) small enough for two people and stored it in the back of the refrigerator (out of sight). I am going to make a quick homemade raspberry sauce and make a romantic picnic on our bed - complete with candles and champagne. By the way, we've been together 6 years. Who says romance is only for new love?
