Return to article: How to Create a Flawless Filing System
on 8/8/2006 Try to name computer and paper files by time sensitive tasks rather than over all topics. For example, instead of a file marked "computers" that grows until it is overflowing, have a folder marked "computer" and files labeled: "Maintenance," "Repair," "Amy's Order." This way, files are easier to find inside the folder and information on a specific project can be eliminated instead of adding to the clutter.
