on 8/8/2006 Rinse the stained garment in warm water with a little dishwashing detergent added to remove as much of stain and oil as possible. Hang the garment outside in bright sun for several hours. The stained area must be facing the sun.

This procedure will remove the stain from white clothing in around 8 hours. But it may take a little longer depending on the brightness of the sun.

on 11/22/2005 If you live in a cold climate and do not catch the stain until it comes out of the washer, do not put it in the dryer. Leave it outside in the frost overnight. The fabric will be stain-free in the morning.

on 11/22/2005 Leave the fabric under the faucet. Don't turn the water on full blast; just let it drip on the fabric. Wake up the next morning and the stain is gone. Throw immediately in the washing machine in cold water. This often works even on set-in stains.

on 11/22/2005 Scrape residue, if any, gently with a spoon. Apply a small amount of dish detergent to stain. Let set for at least ten minutes. Launder as usual. Haven't tried this on dry cleanables, but for clothing that can be washed. It always works.
