on 10/31/2009 Can I just paint over crayon? Just checked up on our renters that have 5 kids under 7. The walls are covered uptairs and down. Some places are as high as I can reach! They colored on bare wood, painted wood, walls... everything! Some places they even used majic marker. What to do... I need to get this rented again.

on 4/17/2009 Thanks guys, my 2 yr old daughter got a hold of a maroon crayon and constructed a huge Picasso picture stringing all down our white painted hall way. I tried the Orange Glo, it worked great on my washer

on 3/9/2009 Our little girl drew on ours doors before we could paint or stain them,so:For UNFINISHED wood. The answer is The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and pure alcohol. I used the HEET brand gasoline additive, because it is a cheap and convenient source of almost pure alcohol. Wipe with water quickly after. For FINISHED or PAINTED wood, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and Goo Gone. Wipe Quickly After.

on 10/24/2008 I tried a baby wipe and that didn't work, and all the articles I was reading seemed to have one thing in common, some sort of oil, so I had some Ecover Floor Cleaner with Linseed Oil in, I put a tiny amount on a textured side of my cloth and it worked with very little effort then I just rinsed the cloth out and wiped again and dried with a paper towel, now you wouldn't of even known it was there - phew before my husband got home! thank you for all your articles they all helped in some way in me finding a solution.

on 10/11/2008 Lighter fluid really works, after I used the marks with the fluid, I took some warm water with just a dab of soap, because it is flammable and wiped again. Then, I cleaned it with a little soap scum by Tilex, works real well and leaves a nice clean scent.

on 8/12/2008 I came to this place in a panic before I went to the store because my 2 yr old colored on the walls. I got bounce, goo gone pen, and the magic eraser. They were out of WD-40. Bounce did NOT work. Maybe because the walls had ridges but it seemed to spread the color. I used the magic eraser 2 pack and it worked great. My only problem is that I needed more than two. I used the two I had to the scraps.

on 6/28/2008 WD-40 is like MAGIC! Spray some on a sturdy paper towel and it will dissolve the crayon with very little pressure, preserving the paint. Then just take a damp (water) paper towel to wipe away whatever is left.

on 11/8/2007 For removing stubborn crayon stains from washable clothing use WD-40. I just found this out because it was the correct answer on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. See..you CAN learn thns from TV!

on 9/15/2007 Removing crayons from a painted wall: I tried the baking soda mix and it did not work. I tried the hand lotion thing and it did not work either. What really worked was heating the surface with the blow dryer for 30 seconds and then wiping the crayon stain off with a scrub damped in soapy water. I had to wipe it off again with a cloth damped in water to remove the soap from the wall. It worked so perfectly!

on 5/9/2007 How ato remove crayon stains from walls - I use Orange Glow. It has the same oil consistancy of WD-40 but with a much better smell. Afterwards I rewiped the walls with my favorite cleaner to get the excess oil off. This tool me all of 5 minutes for a 17 x 13 room.
