Comments on How to Curl Hair With Hot Rollers

  • Mar 28, 2006
Before you start to curl your hair, you want to straighten it with a straightening iron. After you do that, you get a 1/2 or 1 inch section of hair and you put hair spray on it and, using the curling iron, you roll it up and let it sit there for a while. This method holds your curls much better.

Before you roll your hair, fold the paper in half and spray with a water bottle, then roll. Your hair will have smooth ends. The hot curlers will dry the wet ends and the curl lasts.

I wash my hair and then apply 4+4 volumizing mousse from the roots to the tips, and then I blow dry my hair (and If I have time), divide it into two or three sections then I spray each section with a volumizing hair spray. For an even better curl you can spray each piece before you roll it on to the hot roller. It has worked very well for me and I hope it works for you! Remember to let the curlers completely cool before removing!

If you have a layered cut and prefer to leave the bottom portion of your style straight, try setting only the "halo" or crown portion of your head in hot rollers; this creates volume while allowing the bottom portion to remain straight.

My hair is fine, straight and thin. After drying I use lots of hairspray and comb my hair before curling. Before I wrap each section, I dip my roller in a little bit of dripping water from my sink to help it stick to the roller.

We all no how much time it takes to blow dry your hair and then straighten it, especially if you have wavy hair. Now there is this new straightener called Wet 2 Straight. Aussie Sprunch spray is used to make your hair wavy, but it is like an extra strong hair spray. Spray it onto a hair brush, and then brush your hair. It really helps with reducing the frizzies.
