on 3/1/2009 I ordered custom graduation stoles for my nieces graduation; it had their school initials, their name was on it and their Sorority Letters; they were so cute, it was a very unique gift, and they were able to wear them at graduation. Here is one of the sites that offers this service, www.createastole.com

on 6/5/2008 There is no MSAT it is the MCAT exam for med school, and a graduation is a once a lifetime experience an MCAT book is at most 100 dollars, their plans for med school can easily change and are not the most stable plans and it will be outdated by the time their college plans are up, stick to wearables, drivables, and daily necessities (not paper goods [especially because of the dominance of computers in our society] although personalized stationary is always a good addition). Trips are also good.

on 6/4/2008 While tie tacks and phone cards are really rather special, they are pretty out-dated gifts. Most college students have cell phones and rarely wear tie tacks since they aren't really in vogue. Another thoughtful idea might be a gift card to a book store -such as amazon.com where they can find some of their textbooks. Snacks are always a wonderful idea as well. My one friend had about a six month supply of gift certificates/coupons to some of the fast food chains near his campus- in this way you are certain they don't blow all the cash on that first big trip to the big city with friends. College students are certain to use up a food-gift card the first time the cafeteria has the "suprize" dish that no one can quite figure out! A gift card to an office supply store will also come in handy for computer cds, etcetera! And of course a plane ticket or a gas card are also great gifts. :)

on 11/22/2005 We went to a fast-food resturant and got coupons. Then we went to a movie rental store and got a gift certificate. We wrote in a card we wanted to treat them to "dinner and a movie."
