Hi in order to copy a text from A PDF first you need to check for the document security you can that in the options that you need to go to "Documen"t option in the PDF file and then click on security and click the option "Show security settings for this document" Then you need to select Security method to no security and after that only you can copy the text.

go to Tools - Comment & Markup - Text edit. go to text you want to copy and hold down left mouse button and drag box across. go to edit and copy then go to your document and paste

Anyone know a way to copy TEXT from a PDF in Adobe 9 version? Each help document I read describes a tool in the menu that doesn't even exist in version 9. RRRRRRRGH!

hey, Please I can't copy from my PDF file when I select the text to copy and want to copy it but the copy option is not applicable. if any body know please tell me how can I active the copy command.thnx

I ever tried this instruction at my old computer and it worked perfectly but it doesn't work at my existing computer. I can't found "Text tool (the T tool)" facility. They are gone. Do you know how to get it? It's because of my adobe reader's version?

There isn't a way to do that best you can do is save it as a pic. But to actually get into the text no can do my friend unless you have the program.

Yes, Clartpoo you are 100% correct, everybody knows to use CTRL+C and CTRL+V- for copy & past purpose from normal pdf file...but it should be-how to copy from Read Only PDF file?..if anybody knows please share the trick. naresh

This is a pretty pointless how to. More useful would be how to copy text when the creator doesn't want you to. Eveyyone knows how to copy and paste normally.
