on 12/2/2008 Just used a product called Krud Kutter and it worked wonderfully! Does not remove the paint. For textured walls, I recommend removing the remaining crayon with a soft-bristle toothbrush.

on 2/5/2008 The dryer sheet and lotion worked great. No damage to the walls. Using a fragrant lotion makes the house smell Spring fresh too.

on 11/12/2007 We have just tried Bounce dryer sheet. It's only good for very small area. Then, we tried Mr. Clean Magic eraser and it's effortless!

on 11/22/2005 Desolv. This is the answer to your prayers. I used this when a whole load of laundry was marked by crayon. The crayon came out of everything that was cotton, polyester and flame retardant (not so much, but better). I used Desolv on hard floors, carpet and upholstery. It all came out! If you have questions about use you can call the number on the bottle.

on 11/22/2005 The gentle abrasive that cleans your teeth without harming the enamel also works to remove crayon without hurting the paint. I find the whitening toothpastes to be highly effective. It is especially good for flat paint finishes.

on 11/22/2005 De-Solv-it is 100% organic and is so safe you can use it on your skin to remove adhesives, gum, candle wax, tree sap, and the list goes on and on.
As a frugal single mother I received many hand-me-downs for my son. Some things were not in the best condition but were usually salvageable. One such item was a toy school desk with a game board, storage for game pieces, and a chalk board top that was covered with crayon. Every square inch was thickly layered with crayon. A few squirts of De-Solv-it and a pancake scraper and a little more on a rag made that desk look like new. You can find it at WalMart.

on 11/22/2005 Use a dryer sheet (Bounce works the best) and any kind of hand lotion to wipe the wall. This worked the best. I tried many things and this one I recommend. It even works on wall paper.

on 12/22/2005 Mr. Clean has a new product called Magic Eraser. It's a sponge that comes in a 2 or 3 pack box, and it works wonders! You wet the sponge and wring it out a little and then gently work the surface where the crayon is and it's gone! The sponges are reusable. This product is truly magic!
