I have a much simpler & cost effective fix. No need to level the floor or spend lots of extra money on the floor at all. Try these pads from GVIinc. They work great & trust me, it'll be a lot less headache & money than trying to "fix or level" the floor, which is probably not the problem anyway. Been there, done that. Good luck!

Taking off the foot pads, inserting the Squeezed Rheological Foot Dampers will do the job. From chongyaolu@sina.com and http://www.pangumrf.com

Yeah I would definitely recommend leveling for all shakes, for higher pitched vibration you can always try a company like The vibration solution (www.thevibrationsolution.com) they make a great product for if your machine is say on the second floor and transmitting noise to the floors bellow, probably the most advanced product out there, most of the "pads" I have seen are nothing more than rubber of cork that will wear away after time.

I had this very problem. My machine would unplug from the wall in the spin cycle. I found on ebay these things called front load anti vibration pads. Worked for me!!!

if it still walks across the floor,i live in an apartment we have a metal resessed pan the washer sits in about 1 inch deep with a drain and if the pan is not
secered to the floor it will not stay balanced . im a maint manager of a complex and we have to secure the pan to the floor. "do not" secure with screws down into the floor , put the screwes around the edge. it fixes the problem also. i had to have the "maytag"servise guy put a new bearing in my crosley because it became worn also. hope that helps also. m swetland utah

Your explanation is complete rubbish when dealing with an inferior product. Suggest you re-word, or qualify. It does not apply to the Maytag PAV2300 washer.

Try using rubber door stops under the machine. We had one that we couldn't level and tried this. It works great and only cost a couple of bucks!

When the repair man came out to our home, he first leveled it (back legs) and then suggested putting down a rubber rug since our floor is concrete and seemingly unlevel. After waiting a couple of weeks, to the tune of more machine walking, we finally bought the rubber rug, and have a quiet, still washing machine.

I work at a service call center for a major manufacturer, the key is to make sure the shipping strap has been pulled and installation of the unit is properly completed. The shipping strap (in most cases) holds pins and the drum in place for shipping, and can cause the unit to walk if not extracted. I am now a strong believer in installation instructions.

After several re-leveling attemps, we called a repairman. The only thing he did to remedy the problem was putting grease between the actual tub and the tub supports under the washer.

on 11/22/2005 Level the washing machine. Try wedging rubber door stops under all sides of your washing machine until it is level.
